Circuit City isn't refusing to repair your TV -- they just CAN'T at the moment, because the manufacturer hasn't been providing the required parts for some time now. As soon as they obtain the necessary part, they will fix your TV. What exactly do you want them to do -- how do you expect them to fix your TV if they don't have the part?

All or almost all extended warranties are ripoffs. You pay an amount that is larger than normal just to get it, and they never bother to tell you the details. For example, many times they state a "3 year extended warranty" and you think that means 3 years past the one year warranty. In many cases, WRONG....the first year is included, so you only get an additional 2 years, but pay for 3 years, to include the year covered by the factory warranty....BIG TIME RIP OFF Buy quality products when they are on sale and don't get the extended warranty. My Maytag Neptune washing machine only has a one year warranty, but most last for 10 years....depending on the model you buy, that means the machine cost was between $70 and $100 per year. Why would I pay several hundred dollars more for this fake insurance? The same goes for all of your other appliances. If it fails after 1 year, then tell the company they are selling cheap stuff and you are taking your business elsewhere
