I was in desperate need of a car. My son sugessted I try this car lot they have a good reputation, frist mistake, I gave them $400 dollars downs, to me thats a lot of money, I have to work two jobs to survive. They sold me a car,a 96 ford conture, my gut was not to do it, but I did, I was driving back from louisville and taking my son to work. It started to over heat, I got off the road at a gas station, put water and fluid after it cooled.

It was late I didn't want to bother anyone. I just thought get me home. I did, I think that was one of the most scary times. The next day I call a local mechanic. He said it would cost me $300 to take it apart and see if the head was cracked. Sorry to say it was! It was going to cost at least 1,800 to fix, I knew the car was not worth that much.

I went to check the car out and remove some things. Their were motor parts in the front seat back seat and the trunk, I went home sick! I kept all the payments and full coverage insurance up for a month, mind you I've only had this car three months. I thought I've got to do something, I'm paying for car I can't drive. So I called the dealer told him what was going on, he was very nice, " I thought" he said you have been great on keeping your payments up, I will send a thow truck and take to our machanic to fix the car that will save a lot of money.

I thanked him so much thinking he did not have to do this, he could have left me with a car payment on a car I could not drive. By the way the amount I was paying on this car was about 6,000. A few day went by, I finally got a hold of him. I ask if he had seen the car, he said no, but what I was telling him on where all the motor where he didn't think it would be worth fixing. He said I could use this car as a trade in. and ask how much I could put down on another car I said about $600.

He said to come up he would put me in another nice car. Here I go again, second mistake, I'm 54 years old and I go by myself. There's so many cars you could buy for $600 down on this lot. So I found a nice ford taurus body looked good, drove great. Not thinking about the year the mileage, I was just happy to have a car with great air conditioning and drove good to get me to work and back. So I signed.

Got home was thinking what I had done looked at the paper work, I had my name to a car for 10,000. pay off was 6,000. I was mad at myself, but I had done this so I had to keep paying the bills. This was in May of 09, In JUNE I still had not recieved registration, tags, nothing but a temp. plate in the window. So I called there was nothing to worry about the temp. plate was good until july 17 I would have it soon.

By now I'm starting to have problems with the car. Third mistake, I didn't ask for a car fax. So I checked car fax, This car had been wrecked and tolded and rebuilt and bought from a salvage yard before the title released. I found out trade in value is about $500, that doesn't count it was wrecked and rebuild. Today is july 12 still know title. I called vechicle reg. the car is still not in my name.

I have oil everywhere, My machanic the oil sending unite was bad and I have a bent axyle. I ask if he would just take the car back he could keep the $600 and all the payments I've made. He said he couldn't. So far they haven't. I don't know if you can help me! But, if you can't maybe someone will learn from my dumb mistake
