My 17 year old son had to drive the family car to get to school. He would drop me off in the morning and drive to school. The school was informed that we cannot provide an insurance # (car is insured) therefore could not get a parking permit required. We told them there is no other way for him to get to school and hes not leaving the car in a dirt lot and walking a mile to school because than he'd be late.
They ended up giving my son at total of ten tickets that now amount to $530 that we can not afford what so ever. Single mother raising two children! We tried to appeal them but they said we have to pay them and than if we win the appeal we get our money back but we didn't wave the money in the first place so how is it that I can appeal that. Now I can't pay them because the payment deadline is 30 days after the ticket was first recieved. Now a few months later the DMV wont give me my tag for my car until I pay the full $530!
Please some one help. Id do anything this is really affecting my life now and my son is leaving to college in a few months and my money efforts needto go towards that not some unrightful tickets that should not be there becuase theyre unfair!

Why were you unwilling or unable to provide proof of insurance?
