CITGO Bait and Switch at the pump. Houston, Texas
I was driving along Highway 249 around 9 P.M. on 04/26/2012 and decided to get some gas as the price for Regular was advertised as $3.68 per gallon whereas other stations around the area are upwards of $3.75.
When I went inside I was told that that price is for cash only and it would be $3.89 with credit. There is no visible signage that states the low price is for cash only. If I didn't ask I would have paid with a card and unknowingly would have paid a price higher than any other station in the area.
This seems like false advertisement.
