My mortgage with Source One was purchased by Citibank. After paying them 3 months of my payments, they sent them back and put my home into a foreclosure action.

I was advised by reliable groups, (clerks in the Supreme Court Building, Riverhead, New York, and the FHA/HUD office in Philadelphia), that Citibank made this a common practice and would purchase smaller banks that had many FHA mortgages, then foreclose them. It was a win-win situation for them since they were federally insured mortgages. The clerk's office advised me to fight the action and I did. It was a David-Golith situation. I won, the mortgage was vacated and the last two motions, mine and the answer by Citibank's lawyers, was signed and filed in Suffolk County Records, Index No., 00-16548, Motions 4 and 5.

3 years of peace went by for my 2 daughters and I. Then Citibank Mortgage filed another foreclosure action. My sources in the Supreme Court, Riverhead, NY, now advised me to sell since they have seen what happens when Citibank does not want to let go. They informed me that I would at least get my equity out of the house, even though my girls and I were homeless. I also had planned on an equity line of credit to help my older daughter get through college tuition and room and board.

My house sold quickly due to its location, property etc. It affected my health, (I am disabled), but we closed and even though I should have received a lot of equity, Citibank put a lien on the house for $229,000. My house only cost $144,000. They destroyed my credit, initially listed it as a foreclosure on my credit and my older daughter's.

I also have a history with Citibank. I sold my car and paid off the Citibank lien. They refused to release the lien for many weeks, so the purchasers could not register it. They were about to bring it back when I had to behave in a shameful manner at the local Citibank branch to coerce them to release the lien.

I had power of attorney on an equity line of credit, on my mother's house. I paid the bills and they agreed to not call or send any bills to my mother as she was in fragile health. 7 years went by and they sent a bill to my mother claiming the equity loan had not been paid in 6 months and they were filing a foreclosure action. One of my brothers found out, believed their story, even though I had proof of payment. He paid their extoursion fees.

Recently, my home was put up for sale and I have started another campaign, writing to politicians and Citibank. I told them and still believe that the only way to make this right would be for the bank to pay the price to the sellers and put the house back in my name free and clear.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
