very bad service, I submitted my application for secure credit card in July, 2011. I never received any letter from them in this regard. No acceptance/ rejection. Later, on I decided to call them. After a lot of verification and calling them 2-3 times( as they could find me in their system), I was told that my card has been rejected. I also have a bank account in citibank in the same branch and I had been to the branch for applying for the card.

I said ok that's fine. I need my money back.

After that the drama began. I stay in downtown Silver spring, MD.

Come on its not inaccessible. I never received the cheque. I kept on getting all promotional e mails from citibank, but the cheque never turned up in my mail. I called them 5-6 times. Each time they said the same. In fact I got a letter saying my MONEY would be surrendered in the state fund, whatever that means.

Later, they stopped finding my name in the system. I was told to go the branch.

Thankfully, I had my application paper with me or they would have sain I NEVER APPPLIED. At the bank, another drama unfolds the manager takes all the papers- saya sorry and after a week asks me how do I want my Money. keep in mind citibank credit card department had refused to wire money directly in to my account before and now. I asked the cheque to be send to bank.

I wait a month and no response. The manager doesn't call back.

I call her back- after multiple calls over several days. I catch hold of her. She says she never recieved a cheque and guess what she wants me to send her all the documents again. The documents that I had e faxed her. Isn't the bank supposed to keep a record of all cases. I am a physician  and a recent immigrant to this country. Is documents and records only for medicine.

Its a very sad state of affair friends. I woud not recommend citibank / citibank creditcard to anyone. If it can happen in capital city of USA, it can happen anywhere.

Please friends let me know how I can take a legal action against CITIBANK.
