I purchased several orders from Classic Closeouts dating back to August 4, 2005. One dates August 4, one August 23 and one on October 13th. Each of these orders involved the return of 1 or 2 items. All items were returned within days of receiving and I obtained RMA# for each. All 4 items were returned to Classic Closeouts via UPS ground with tracking information. I followed up with UPS to verify and have proof of delivery for every item.

Here it is almost the end of 2005 and I am still waiting for the returns of 4 items to post to my credit card. (Note that the August orders were returned in September and the October order returned in October) I began emailing Classic Closeouts after the required 30 day period to post refunds and received email responses stating they did not show my refunds yet, they were running behind, please check back. As of December 16th they are still using that line, almost 4 1/2 months since my first return! I disputed the charges thru my credit card company but the credits were reversed when Classic Closeouts stated they did not show the returns! (In spite of my providing proof of UPS delivery).

Whether this company is totally mismanaged and has no quality control in its' receiving department, or if they have thieves working for them in the receiving department or if they are just an unscrupulous company - I do not know. I just want my refunds due to me! It is unbelievable they have not been sued for fraud. I would never purchase from this company - obviously - and would encourage other online shoppers to look elsewhere. There are many fine outstanding, honest online stores out there and no one wants their hard earned money stolen from them like Classic Closeouts is doing to me!

Please note that since my investigation into this company I am not alone.

Apparently there are many others with the same dilemma as I am facing, sending back returns and having Classic Closeouts deny they have the item and refusing to process a refund. Also note that numerous requests for a telephone number so I could call and speak to someone have gone unanswered. I do have 2 telephone numbers I found for them since which I listed. If anyone can help me as to where I should look next in order to seek relief or if anyone else is having their refunds stolen by Classic Closeouts and would like to get together as a group to file a complaint please do not hesitate to contact me.
