Saw an ad on Clay Cooley Chrysler Jeep Dodge website for a used car. The price seemed fair so I went to see the car. I left without buying it but called back the next day and the car was still available for Sale. I offered to purchase the car at the asking price + TTL and they accepted the offer. I scheduled time at 6pm to go to the dealership, sign the paperwork and pick up the car. When I arrived at the dealership I was introduced to ADAM (Sales Manager) who seemed sleazy but asked me to sit down and discuss the details of the deal.
Adam the proceeded to inform me of the $1295.00 add ons for clear coat, vin # etching, etc which I refused to pay. I told him they had accepted my offer and I was willing to honor my end of the deal and I was prepared to purchase the car for the price we agreed upon.
Adam became visibly upset which then caused me to become uncomfortable. He was very unprofessional. When I informed him this appeared to be a 'Bait N Switch' deal he lost his temper and called me a few choice names.
Needless to say I did not purchase the car nor will I ever visit a Clay Cooley Dealership again and of course I am sharing my miserable experience with all of my friends and family. I tried to file a BBB complaint regarding the Bait N Switch issue but Clay Cooley's BBB membership has been suspended due to the number of BBB complaints filed against them and their 'refusal' to respond to the complaints. What a sleazeball organization.
Their slogan should be 'Don't shop me First, Don't shop me Last, either way, if I were You I'd STAY AWAY'.
