My wife and I have reported Clay Nissan to the Nissan Motors customer relations regarding how we were treated; the response from NISSAN was an insult to injury. The Customer relations so called manager called us back to get details on what transpired during our visit to the Clay Nissan Newton. We have reported that the deal we made was $18.800 for Nissan Rouge that we want it. The car was readily available and deal was sealed. The sales rep backed out of the deal at the last minute because we offered cash and told us that the new price was over 22.500.00. They also told us that if we financed for this price we could not back out of the deal this was absolutely false. Massachusetts law prohibits creditors penalizing customers for paying the loans in full. We found out this fact later. We asked Nissan Motors to look in to this matter to make sure the dealers were treating customers fairly. The response we received was we can not tell our dealers how to conduct their sales and they said there is nothing they can do. In their own words NISSAN dealers are allowed to do pretty much with anything they want it to. I feel that this is wrong and I want anyone who is looking in to buying a car from Clay Nissan to take this in to consideration and be very extra careful!!! After this incident we decided not consider Nissan anymore as an option and bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo from Grava Chrysler Jeep in Medford. The service and treatment we received was excellent. Since we already own a Jeep we are very happy to upgrade our car to a Jeep Laredo from sports. The deal we received was much better and the salesman was an extremely courteous and professional gentleman. Thank you for reading this letter and please beware of NISSAN!!! Looks like they don't play by the rules and have no concern for ethics!!!
