After being solicited by sales rep Kelly Tournade to advertise with Clear Channel Outdoor, I met to discuss placing one large billboard on a major thoroughfare. She pushed hard to utilize their posterboard campaign. This campaign uses smaller boards throughout Tampa. I signed for three months 11 boards per month with 11bonus boards the first month.
Here's were things went sour. My Bonus boards were placed in parts of Tampa that I was scared to drive through. Not sure why people who live in these areas can utilize my services as a pool contractor. Kelly's response was that people ill see them on their way to and form work and home. These were not on big or even medium sized roads. They were on small roads in very bad neighborhoods. After one month and not ONE phone call clearchannels response was it takes 2-3 months. They then told me I should run for 6 months, trying to push me into signing another contract.
The second month yielded ONE phone call that resulted in an estimate appointment. I spoke with sales manager Luis de la Torre727-937-5545 who recommended we abandon the third month and cut our losses. The next day Kelly, Luis and a VP called me and told me it was the artwork that was bad and they were holding me to the third month of the contract. THEY DESIGNED ALL THE ARTWORK.
The third month yielded not one phone call
Here is the last contact I received from management
Greg,
It does happen that advertising doesn't. yield results. It can be many things....Creative, economy, timing, company....
With a long list of successful, long term posting clients, understanding why yours didn't work is difficult.
With that said, your bashing of me, Kelly and CCO Tampa doesn't make me feel like your partner nor does it make me feel like I should somehow help you. I've reviewed your locations and our execution and they seem to be in order. Asking for relief after your harsh words is ridiculous. That's our stance.

Left you a message on your cell phone midday Friday, no response. I wanted to know what your position is on the balance of this campaign. You mentioned my expectations being to high. One call and one contract from a 16k campaign is by anyone's definition an extreme failure. You mentioned dropping the third month, then did a 180 on that. Kelly promised by new artwork we would get results. Neither happened. When I signed kelly said although it sounds cheesy my company and yours were now partners. Partners should share in failure as this was clearly the case. Please email me back with what clearchanels stance is so I know how to govern my actions.
Sincerely,
Gregory
