They will most certainly rip you off at every corner. From changing contract while you sign to creating false papers to make you think you are getting a good deal. They lie with every word...define acceptable business practices as anything to make a buck.

I do agree Clearwater Toyota's service prices are overpriced. That said, I also think they have a clean establishment, good customer service, and don't push sales down your throat. No matter how ridiculous of a profit they would make. My girlfriend uses literally hundreds of dollars in facial products (cleanser, moisturizer, etc), I use a bar of Irish Spring for all purpose. Point being if you have the money or need the security they are good to go to. If you don't, feel free to join me at the hole in the wall mechanic I go to that smokes in the building and takes 2 hours to do an oil change b/c he has to run to an auto store to buy parts. Shop around. Milk from the same cow isn't always the same price at different stores.

Lynn, Most reputable automotive repair shops and dealerships will call you to inform you of additonal recommended work and they cannot proceed with the additonal work without your authorization. Whenever I take my car to my local car care shop for an oil change, they will always call me on my cell phone or home phone to inform me that they have found needed work during the car inspection and then I would authorize the work. I do not know what an induction service is, but was the induction service really necessary? Dealerships usually charge more for repair and maintenance because they use the same brand of parts as that of the car, i.e, Toyota parts for Toyota cars.

COMING INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO BUY CARS THAT THEY CAN SCAM, they will resort to SCAMMING the PARTS & SERVICE CUSTOMERS by charging them for EXTRAS that are really not necessary! A person I know took her Cadillac Seville into a Cadillac Dealership in Colorado because there was a light that was on that said- 'SERVICE'. Guess what the Cadillac Dealer told her? They said that she needed a NEW TRANSMISSION. The cost was around $1,700. She didn't have them do the work and took it into a Locally Owned & Operated Mechanic. Guess what he said? He said that the light was STUCK ON, and he fixed the problem for about $40. If she had gone through with the Cadillac Dealership's quote she would have been SCAMMED! By the way, the Cadillac Dealership is HURTING right now! I WONDER WHY???
