Cleary University ripoff bachelors degree Ann Arbor Michigan
Months prior to my graduation, I met repeatedly with my advisor to ensure I had all my tuition paid, class credits updated,T's crossed and I's dotted. I left nothing to chance. Or so I felt.
A few days prior to graduation it was discovered I did owe money. It turned out to be a miscommunication with my job, who was slow in repaying me. I was assured I had met the credit requirements. I could graduate with my class but they would hold the diploma until final payment.
I graduated with my class, had the party and went on with my life. I paid the money and I waited. Finally I called the university to ask when could I expect my diploma??? I was told I was one credit short and would not get my diploma until I earned the 1 credit! I was assured over and over I had met the requirements.
That was in 2002. Since then I have submitted several petitions for credit, using course work and classes I've taken since the 'graduation' - all with no reply. Nada. I have called, I have emailed and I have been bounced around. I have spoken to the president on down.
It is effecting my ability to obtain entry into a masters program. Cleary is not cooperative.I've been screwed out of my degree that apparently I paid in full for, including the flipping missing 1 credit. I feel so screwed.
