Alan, I understand your frustration, but your report doesn't really ring of a rogue employer. You made a choice to take on an endeavor that interfered with your ability to perform your job to your employer's satisfaction. The employer's first priority is to run an efficient operation. I'm sure that he would have been happy to accomodate your choices to the extent that they didn't interfere with his operations. But the problem is that they DID interfere with his operations, and you were no longer a viable employee. Faced with the decision of restructuring his operation to accomadate your personal life or simply showing you the door, he chose the latter, and as the owner, such was his choice to make. Hopefully, you can find gainful employment that will allow you to continue your education. Unfortunately, your former employer couldn't do that, but that doesn't mean that he wronged you in any way. By the way, you weren't fired because you are a college student, as the title to your report suggests. You were terminated because the schedule of your studies interfered with the schedule of your job.
