Complaint Review: CLYDE RABIDEAU Aka RABIDEAU CORP. - Saranac Lake New York

FACTS: Clyde Rabideau, owner of Rabideau Corp., has purchased four(4) landlocked lots. On the north side of his properties is a not-for-profit organization that owns a total of 25 acres. On the original subdivision map of 1923 there are "paper roads" --which means that they need to be on the map in order for the map to be filed in the county office. On the map there is

a "Boulevard" on the north side of Rabideau's property and this road is actually owned by the Not-for-profit org. This Organiztaion has been in front of the local planning and zoning boards and has obtained all permits to build a client house(already built) and a private road that extends to the west to a village owned road. It is this private road that is most logical and feasible for Mr. Rabideau to use BUT that means he has to wait for this Organization to physically put the road in. Which they plan on doing so in the spring time.

MEANWHILE>>> Parallel to the paper "Blvd" is a street named Lake Street, and there is another paper road "Merrill Road" that runs north and south between these two. Now the upper portion of "Merrill Road" was deeded over by one of the owners of the subdivision to a resident on Lake Street. So they ended up owning 2 legitimate lots and the 50 ft inbetween. The bottom portion this "Merrill Road" is also owned by the Not-for-profit org.

THE PROBLEM: Mr. Rabideau has arrogantly stated that it is his legal right to implement any of these "paper roads" and no one has the right to stop him. His attorney has issued a letter to the owners on Lake Street that if they do not move their woodshed and parked vehicles and if they prohibit and/or touch any of Rabideau's employees or subcontractors, THE OWNERS WILL BE ARRESTED AND PROSECUTED.

Now mind you he does have a right of access but exactly WHERE?? His most logical and feasible way is to go west on the private road of the Org. (Blvd) but he does not want to expend anymore than he has to. But to ravage, destroy and devalvue the property on Lake Street is okay..

Personal opinion: This man is a spoiled little rich piece of scum!!!! all these contractors care about is making money and seeing who they can screw and rip off. Mr. Rabideau should have never bought these properties without making sure all this was cleared up. He planned this for a whole year and never let any of the property owners know it. The property owners on Lake Street found out by accident when a prospective buyer came by and wanted to know where the road was going to be. The one owner said "When Hell freezes over!!!"" Rabideau is or has bought lots up on Dewey mountain across from Lake Street and plans on running "Merrill Road" up there destroying other properties in his way.. THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF THE FILTH IN THIS WORLD AND THIS VILLAGE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS MAN IS RAVAGE ANY MORE LANDS AND THE TOWNSPEOPLE NEED TO BRING THEIR

BROOMS AND SHOVELS!!!!!

Rumor: The village of Lake Placid, NY, has spent $$$$$ in regards to Rabideau because he likes to ignore government entities. He bought a piece of property in Lake Placid, changed the landscaping of it and caused flooding on the adjacent property. I don't know how much damage (pending lawsuit) and don't know if he eventually fixed it BUT he was officially fined the maximum penalty under their village code of $1,000. WHY ISN'T HE BEING SUED BY THE VILLAGE OF LAKE PLACID TO GET BACK THE $100,000+ SPENT BECAUSE OF HIS ARROGANCE. IT IS TAXPAYERS MONEY AND HE NEEDS TO PAY IT BACK.

Rumor: Rabideau also trespassed on a property whose owner was a seasonal owner and was away at the time and he needed to get to his property and did so without notifying or asking. When the owner came up he questioned Rabideau and he again arrogantly said it was his "right". So the owner, also with money, paid for a large dump truck to dump hugh rocks in the way.

Hopefully this was the end, but probably not.
