Owner of contracting company with a silver tongue in salesmanship. He claimed he had a full-service company and that ALL his workers were his full-time employees. LIAR. We were having some re-modeling done and our previous unlicensed handyman wasn't working out, so we let him go and this was a LICENSED referral from a referral. He called and came to the door like Superman. In his words, he was "here to save the day." A relative of his is/was an acquaintance of mine so, we gave him a chance. He immediately took a very large 'draw' to 'get started'. He started off gangbusters the first day and then his "entire crew" turned into a unlicensed electrician solo and a very expensive ($125 hr) sub for plumbing. After 3 weeks of his shenanigans, he had the gall to announce he was already 50% over budget and could not go any farther without handing over another almost $40,000! We called a meeting at the site and asked where the receipts were and show us where the first $25,000 was...HE COULD NOT! At a standstill, we were forced to fire him for producing very little and lying about most everything.
