Coastline Adventures Vacation Rentals Scamming Vacationers With Extra Charges Port Aransas Texas
I first called them about renting another unit. I was told the until was already booked and they sent me to another web site to check out the listing for another condo they wanted me to rent. After agreeing to rent the unit and giving them my credit card info, did not receive any confirmation email. I called several times and emailed and finally the night before we were to leave received the confirmation. Did not realize that they added an extra day to the charges. When we were driving there, I received a call from their office at 4:20 stating that they wanted to leave early and would leave the papers in a lock box. The copies I received did not have the information about the dates or the charges, only a check out rules about the trash, air conditioner etc. When we went to check out, the man assisting me stated that we were down for another night. This was the first I had heard of this. He stated that we would be getting a refund. A very large lady walked up and stated that it didn't matter if it was their fault, I had signed the papers and they do not give anyone a refund. I was shocked at how rude and horrible I was treated by her. They scammed me out of $200 and I never requested the extra day. To make it worse, they are advertising in the paper and on their web site that if you rent 3 nights you get the 4th one free. Well we rented 3 nights and were charged for a 4th night that we were not even there.
I will never use their services again and would recommend that others stay away from using them. They are scammers who are trying to hit customers with extra charges dishonestly and unethically! Buyer beware!!!
