Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I must say Coffee Importers LLC of San Antonio and their owner James B Casey is one of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure of ever doing business with, I purchased five pounds of coffee off there web site http://www.coffee-importers.com at the end of November and I am still waiting for the coffee. They billed my credit card the first day when I placed the order. They proclaim they ship all orders with in 48 hours.

I have called there company a lot of time. Most of the time no one answers the phone.  The few times I got some one on the phone I was told a different story every time.  First it was shipped and it must of gotten lost and they were going to reship it.

The next time, the coffee was out of stock and they were not sure when they were going to get more, so I asked for a refund.

I am still waiting for it.  Then I called again and they could not find any record of my order.  I even got the owner on the phone I think James Casey. He gave me this line this never happens and that they have been in business for twenty plus years.  I checked with the BBB and they have over twenty complaints against them in the last year and they said they only had records on them about three years. I tried to get a refund by my credit card company; I was told Coffee Importers LLC merchant account was closed. I called the district attorneys in San Antonio.  They can not find any record of the company on file anywhere. Buyer be where!!!

FYI..Hope this helps at least know the status of the company.

"To all our many faithful and devoted friends and supporters:

I've had a great time selling coffee these past few years, made some really good friends, learned a lot of good and bad about the coffee business - and had fun every step of the way; so,  I'm not leaving the business because I don't like it.  It is truly for health reasons.

After a long period of working between personal self-help programs, exercise, taking endless prescription drugs, and running the company, the point has been reached where the clock caught up with me.

I hope to remain connected in some way with the coffee industry - in what form or what way, I've not yet decided.  I just know it will probably be from behind a desk, and not involve heavy risk taking decisions....put that way, it frankly all sounds rather boring.  But, that is what it's going to have to be.

We are current in handling inquiries and orders through May 1, and are currently working on orders and inquiries from
May 1 through May 15.  If questions arise regarding orders within those time frames, please include your order number with your inquiry; it will help expedite your answer.  Action on closed-out orders or circumstances can not be re-examined.  We cease operations on May 15.

Should you have questions of a general nature regarding coffee itself, I would be pleased to try to help you if you wish to send me a personal email at [email protected]  Please do not expect a "turn-around" response, but I will respond.

Again, thank all of you for your support and business, and may peace, good fortune, and the Grace of God be with you all.

Jim B. Casey, Founder
Coffee Importers, L.L.C."
