I had two account with Columbia House "TV greats" video library, and I called the phone number on my bill (1-800-667-0364) to cancel both accounts. You must verify your name and address before you cancel, and you must have your account numbers. Lastly, they have customer service hours. They are not a 24 hour, 7 day a week organization.

I have had read a lot of the Columbia House Rip-Off Reports and can agree with most of them. Some how when I signed up I was able to avoid using my credit card (thank goodness from what I have read from others). I did however have one account that had access to my credit card. After reading these rip-off reports I decided I needed to remove my credit card from their grasp since the membership obligation was already over due. I have tried to reach a warm body before and have never been successful and am not sure how I did it this time. On your reply card there should be a number for "account information" which is 1-800-608-9540. I called this number, entered my account number and went though the automated process as if I was ordering something. I pretended like I was stuck and didn't enter a number when prompted and some how and some way I was transfer to a customer service representative. The rep was able to speak and understand English and she was very curtious (a rare find I know). She offered me a special deal available to phone orders, was able to complete my membership obligation, and remove my credit card (I told her it was expiring this month (which was true)). So that is my success story of finding a customer service representative at Columbia House. I hope it helps others out there that have had the same problems.
