As far as I know geico's emergency roadside service is a reimbursement type, you call them they get the closest place to take care of you, to save YOUR time and the bill usually gets sent to them, on the occasions where they don't contact geico and you call someone else yourself and pay the bill yourself geico usually reimburses them. Looks like you had no problem getting taken care, I do like your line It appears that those that review claims in the GEICO Macon, GA office have difficulty with multi-syllable words and sentances. I won't point out your spelling to much, but I just get annoyed when people write not making sense. 2/3 of the these reports are from people who don't think out the situation or get to hot to rant and then do only to find out a little later it was their own fault. You say you were taken 50 miles by some one to pick up the car so you paid the invoice. Well that customer service you bashed is open 24 hours a day every day of the year, did the place you pick it up at not have a phone? Imagine the phone call you: Hello Geico geico: HI you: This place is charging me 80 dollars for my car, I have ERS and caled you for tow a few days ago. geico: Please put them on the line and i will deal with this right now since I am here 24/7.

After sending them a letter with the supporting documentation from Geico, Columbus Square Auto issued a refund check for the amount I paid them for the towing. I was rather harsh on Columbus Square Auto. They are not at fault. They come out to tow my car very early in the morning, they performed the repair at a resonable price and should be paid for the tow. The office person that accepted my payment for the bill probably did not know that a claim for the towing was submitted to Geico. My biggest complaint, however is still with Geico. They should never have issued a payment to Columbus Square for towing when there was no signed paperwork for their claim. Geico should review their procedures to avoid possible fraud in the future.

Have USAA auto insurance. It's a closed company, meaning there are restrictions on who can join. For $5 per 6 months, I have towing ins on all 3 of my vehicles. If I need a tow I call them and they dispatch a tow truck. I never see a bill. Use the service 2 or 3 times a year. There are some mileage restrictions(125?) Go after Columbus in small claims court. GEICO denied your claim for reimbursement because they had already paid one towing fee, they shouldn't have to pay twice and rightly so. "Save money on car ins..." What does GEICO have to do with the shoddy repairs or are you referring back to Columbus?
