Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have had Comcast Busioness 50 mb internet speed for 14 months.  I have learned that Comcast residentail service offers the same service for a fraction of the cost.

During sign up the rep misrepresents the contract, service, and contract terms.  They tell you how much better and more reliable the business service is over the home service.  I pay $120 a month for business internet - residentail service which my business is ran from home cost $40 a month for the same speed and reliability.

I contacted business to see if I can switch back to residentail service.  They informed me I would have to pay nearly $1100 to disconnect the business service - ARE YOU KIDDING

I basically have no choice but wait for the contract to expire. Comcast is not losing a customer - YET - they have started a business service that is misrepresented under the Comcast name and after ripping you off on sign up will still not grant a customers wish to stay with Comcast just under a different department

Consumer affairs should look in to this rip off practice and insane contract terms that are misrepresented and stop it.

WARNING - if you sign up for Comcast Business you are trapped for life

The person complaining about comcast business is simply lazy to read the contract. I have had comcast business at two locations, one location we have had comcast starter internet service 16mbps for over 4 years and another I cancelled 2 years ago after the 2 year agreement ended.

My contact stated that I would be charged 75% of the cost of the remaining period. It also states that your contract will renew automatically if you do not notify them that you wish to be billed month by month until you decide to cancel the service. you must notify them within 30 days. Also if you wish to cancel the service by the end of the agreement, you must notify them 60 days ahead.

I did exactly that and I had no problem cancelling the serivce. The problem is that people don't read their agreement then complain about the company.

Read the agreement, if you don't like it, then simply don't sign up.

It’s a rip-off if they failed to honor the terms of the agreement. Specifically, what terms of the agreement did they fail to honor?

“During sign up the rep misrepresents the contract, service, and contract terms.”

Specifically, what part of the service agreement and contract terms did they misrepresent?

“WARNING - if you sign up for Comcast Business you are trapped for life”

That statement is incorrect. You are ‘trapped’ for the terms of the agreement, not for life.
