I've had Comcast cable service and had been satisfied with the service I'd received until I decided to move in September '04. Because I was moving in the middle of a billing period, I was told by a Comcast representative that I would be receiving a credit in the amount of $104 (since I would no longer be there for the rest of the month). I turned in all of my equipment that I received from them, and they said I should be receiving a refund check in 30 days.

So, 30 days went by and I had not received my refund check. I called to see what was the status of the refund and I was told that I wouldn't be issued a refund until my service had been physically disconnected by a technician, which was in late October. Then, they said the refund should be received within 30 days of that physical disconnection date.

Weeks kept going by, and the next time I called, they said that the physical disconnection date they had in their computer was November 13; and I told them what had been told to me earlier about the other disconnection date. They said for some reason the physical disconnection date had been moved back to November.

They then told me that my refund should be received within 30 days of the new physical connection date. I called them 2 weeks ago and they said that a refund check had been cut for me and that it would take 7-10 days for me to receive it. I am still waiting for my refund check.

This whole situation has really angered and upset me because I feel that they are giving me the runaround about the money that they owe me. I am now glad that I don't use them for my television and internet service anymore. They are liars and crooks and I wouldn't advise anyone to do business with them either.

Comcast, I WANT MY MONEY!!!!!!

They finally sent the refund check!!!

Comcast finally sent me my refund check on 1/14/05 after having to call and send e-mail after e-mail about how they jerked me around about this situation. Sometimes it does pay to be persistent about something that you know is owed to you. Thanks ripoffreport.com for letting me share my experience.

The "so-called" neighbor who responded to my original report of the abuses of Comcast is a liar and I have never met this person. I have always paid my bills on time, and I have never borrowed money from any of my neighbors. This is just someone who has nothing better to do with their time than to make fun of someone who has been ripped off. Go find something better to do with your time, jerk!

I am the next door neighboor of the original poster. for one yes comcast in savannah has its issues. but it would help to pay your bills on time. she has tried to borrow money from me to pay her comcast bill before and it has been cut off and on so much you wonder how much, if any, comcast owes her my advise....pay your bills first....then complain
