I had perfect credit but went to this co to get lower interest and pay my cards off quicker. I never had a late pyt on any of my accounts. They said that the first pyt to them was for their fees but the very nice man told me not to worry, by the second month, everything would be up to date and no fees would be accrued. When my statements came, it showed that even though I payed them to day they were due, it took them months to send the payments. Thus, they were three months late and it could not be reversed. Within one month, my credit rating dropped 70 points because it now shows that I have delinquent accounts.

I had to borrow money to pay off the cards but for 7 years I 'm told, my credit history will say delinquent. I have been denied for ALL credit cards now, for an apartment rental and am up for a city position that looks highly on credit checks. I did everything right but because they farted around and payed three months late, my credit is ruined and I was told there is nothing I can do about it. The co said basically that they're not responsible for any negative credit effects you may get. EVEN though the man told me it would all correct itself after the first month, it was a lie. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY! Because I tried to help myself, I will pay for it for seven years. NOT a mistake I want anyone else to make!!!

I believe you were lied too

Jaclyn, Yes, I believe you were lied too. I know because I work for a Credit Counseling Agency myself (not CCCS) and I know that the creditors will always show clients 2-3 months in arrears (late). I can tell you how ever that the delinquent accounts will show for 24 months, not 7 seven years. But... Here is the question. If you had perfect credit before you shouldn't be having all these problems getting new credit. I fail to believe that either 1. you had perfect credit to begin with, or 2. you are not exactly being 100% truthful about being denied for all this new credit (a new apartment rental?). Now, I could be wrong, but I have 15 years experience with credit counseling and cannot imagine it being any other way than those 2 things.
