I opened an account Last Saturday (Today is Thursday) I have written a couple checks. One to my daughter's daycare, and one for a house payment. Both are kinda important you know. Anyway, when I opened the account I deposited $4,100 (in cash!) no check to hold. So today I was doing my online banking, balancing my checkbook and my available balance was 0.00. My checkbook says at least $400 in checking and $400 in savings. So I call the 1-800 number and the lady says my account is frozen and I have to contact the branch. I call the branch, and I am a little upset, but not yet irate. The lady at the branch hung up on me. (SHE HUNG UP ON ME) really? What kind of customer service is that?

So I called the 1-800 number back and spoke with Jackie. She was very nice, I had to throw that in. She helped me as much as she could. The issue is not yet resolved. I work 7a-7p the next four days, so I have to take time off work tomorrow to go into the branch try to fix it so I can get enough of MY cash to feed my three children.

Frozen account=suspcious activity

Anytime I've ever heard of anyone account being frozen it's because there is suspcious activity on the account. They are just protecting themselves, however if they didn't contact you to let you know about this I understand your frustration. I seriously don't see them just ignoring it and not trying to call you though....especially over 4100.00. If you have nothing suspcious going on then they should have it all cleared up soon, and i'm sure they will not charge you any fees if they were at fault. That's just the way business works.

So, they fixed the bank error. I went in and they had put in my husband's ss# incorrectly. I just hope that they didn't bounce the two checks I wrote. My car payment that I made with electronic check online posted, so I think I am okay. About the lady that hung up on. . . The customer service manager spoke with me was not at all surprised when she found out who it was. I am not sure what will come of that, but I am happy that they at least listened to me. So far, I am happy with the outcome. I hope this is not any indication of how things will be in the future.
