Here I am again, I deposited some amount in to the bank at about 12 O'clock noon on 12/07/05. I took out this amount as I am afraid of NSF as I have already scheduled two payments from my account for 12/08/2005.

In my astonishment I have not seen these deposits or the debits in the account toady the 12/8/2005. I called the bank and talked to Mr. Morales, why my account is credited in my account.

His answer was:

Because of cold and snow plane could not go to Houston with paper work so could not enter in the account.

In this electronic/ computer age, it is highly unbelievable somebody telling that the paper work should be taken from Fortworth to Houston to make entries of bank transactions of the day. I am lucky enough My account was credited with another 900.00

But I am waiting to see that Bank is going to debit my account with all electronic payment arranged and made my balace negative and can be slap me with NSF and then going to credit my account with my deposits.

Well hello there. I bank at the location on Rufe Snow. I am finally and I mean FINALLY getting the remainder of my fund from them, on this friday. We have been with Compass over a year now but have left to go to Hibernia. And what an oredeal that has been. I have found money taken out of my account - they error and refunded to me. NSF charge after charge - error and refunded to me. And froze our account not once but twice (no notification) due to large deposits. OMG, have you ever heard of such a thing? They were IRS checks and they stated that due to fraud they have to wait 11 days for the checks to clear. Now correct me if I am worng, but clearing and freezing or not the same thing. They apologized but are still charging me for checks they returned during our freeze. WHAT THE F***? They refused to let me close my account until I agreed on them taking $1700 out for fees that are not of our doing. My husband says take it then we can file a grievance. Yeah like that will sovle anything. They are the worst when it comes to adding charges so please read your whole statement for unseen deductions. And there are so many websites out there about Compass being the worst bank. BBB has so many claims on them and Finance report claimed them to be bad bank of 2005!

Why Stay?

You've posted before about how long it takes for deposits to be credited to you account. If this bank takes sooo long and does it in such an ancient manner, why stay with them? I'm sure they have more modern banks in your location. Considering the fact that it might take days for them to credit your account but hours for electronic bills to "hit" your account. CHANGE BANKS.
