Conduit produces and distributes a variety of "tool bars". Thes are bundled with downloadable software using a varity of deceptive practices.
Most of their "tool bars" are browser hijackers. Their packages includes additional programs that make it difficult to remove the unwanted "toolbar". Their software can and does adversely effect the preformance of the machines it is installed in. There is no simple way to remove their junk, and no one in their right mind would dream of going to their web page for help in removing it. It leaves many users with a problem that will take a couple of hours of work to completely remove all the damaging software. Many folks do not have a friend or relative to help with this so they end up pay someone to remove the malware.
By not conforming to usual and customary practices regarding the installation and uninstall of software, this company is perpetating 2 frauds: the first against the users who want to be able to use their personal electronics without the interference of malicious software. and the second against any legitimate software companies who employ them to place their products.
