Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

1. They will not let you leave the place once you are seated. You are a prisoner! You can't go out on the boardwalk to get some fresh air at intermission or escape the numerous people smoking pot next to you that the staff ignores. They claim that if they let you out, you'll go to the local grocery store and buy food there instead of getting it from their concession stands - so what! They have no right to keep you in there or force you to buy their overpriced hotdogs and chips. I wonder if this policy is even legal? It violates peoples rights and possibly constitutional amendments.

2. There is a bathroom on the boardwalk, that is accessible to people out there who can't afford tickets and are listening to the concert from the boardwalk. But they purposely lock out people from the boardwalk (to try to force them to buy tickets - then inside, they can use the bathroom that is otherwise open to the public during non concerts) who want to use that bathroom and there is no place else for them to go unless they walk 1/2 mile up the boardwalk to Nathans. This is really one miserable and despicable act of many at this place that you will find their rude staff enforcing.

3. When ordering tickets at the box office. There is no visable seating charts that you can look at or pick out your own seats (which is going to be better than what they dump on you). You have to rely on the clerks to give you a good seat # and row # - and they don't want to spend the time with you. There attitude is, "here is your $$$ ticket, take it or leave it and don’t bother me.” They are not friendly or helpful. My advice: do not buy a ticket there and support this oppressive, profit oriented regime.

4. If you order from Ticketmaster, you get better help, but they also charge you a little more money in service charges. If you order from the Coney Island Amph box office, you get the tickets right there and then and you save a few dollars over ticketmaster. But the box office charges a service fee between 8 and 12 dollars also. And when you buy tickets at a box office instead of online at a national ticket reseller, they are not supposed to charge you service charges. That’s the purpose of buying from the box office. But this place rips you off and the live nation box office right next to the Amphitheater, on the boardwalk, charges a service charge - really??? For you to to all the way there to get tickets they are not supposed to charge you - It’s unheard of. Nobody does this. In my opinion, they are ripping you off people. Somebody should look into weather this is legal or not. The BBB, State Attorney Generals office, IRS and other consumer offices should investigate this company. And a class action lawsuit should be considered as well. And Ford, your name is on this think, how are you allowing all of this?

5. When inside there, if you are in a back row, almost everyone in front of you stands up so it's hard to see in front of you. That's ashame because you thought that you were saving money and getting a decent view at the same time - think again. And live nation staff does nothing at all about this.

6. If it rains. It's continuously open on the boardwalk entrance side. If there is a strong wind and rain, you will get very wet and if you are unfortunate enough to be in section 102 all along the right side, you will get soaking wet and goodbye waterlogged smartphone. THIS IMAGE PROVES IT: billboard.com/articles/news/7438903/from-vacant-restaurant-to-60-million-venue-first-look-inside-coney-islands. TRIP ADIVSOR: do not reject my review just becauase I am posting a photo of this Amphitheater that I am reviewing in an attempt to show people that what other people are saying about not getting wet when it rains is not entirely true. And you can see from this photo why. This is not an advertisement for this company as you can see my review is negative and I’m not trying to advertise for them in any way, shape or form. It not that obvious after reading my review - keep reading.

7. There is a curfew time. But the Ford Amphitheater/ Live Nation, does not enforce it. There are times when concerts have gone on until well after midnight. This is disturbing to the community around it and the two nursing homes close by - but they don't care. As long as they make their money, that's what counts to them. And do not hang around that park on 23rd street and the boardwalk when this place closes. It is full of alleged drug addicts and other unscrupulous characters sitting down and visably smoking drugs. Also, many reports have gone out to the police about hearing gunshots in there late at night. You can check with the Bay News. They post an entire crime section on Coney Island. Please do not support this venue until they make changes and start caring about the community and people that attend.

8. bags: They check everything in your bags. (This is not a federal building - is it even legal?). They do not allow food or drink (eat before you go in there - do yourself a favor), and they do not allow you to leave once you enter or you cannot reenter even if you show the security your tickets. (Is this even legal?) This is an attempt to force you to buy food from their overpriced concession stand instead of the less expensive community grocery stores on Surf Ave and 22nd, 23rd street or virtually any of them in Coney Island. I think someone should look into this and if this is even legal. It seems to me that it violates peoples rights. Please do not support this venue.

9. HEARING THE MUSIC FROM OUTSIDE THE CONCERT: Yes, you can hear it perfectly on the boardwalk. If you can't afford the fee to go in or don't want to pay it because of some of the reasons above, You can hear the whole concert perfectly on the boardwalk right outside the entrance. You just can't see everything inside is the only drawback. My bring a chair, or sit on the boardwalk benches or just stand in front of the fence, and enjoy the concert while not supporting this venue is my best advice. However, saying that many concerts are just plain awful with poor sound, disharmonious singing and music, and out of practice bands. But some are very good. It’s a lot more minus than plus. You have to be prepared for that if you come out.

10. The time to get into the theater is very long. There are very long lines that run down the boardwalk. And if it's hot out there, it can be very unpleasant. But if you own a Ford car, you can go on their short line and get in quickly. But the rest of us is out of luck? Is that even legal I wonder? Sounds like discrimination to me. I wish the state attorney generals office would look into this.

11. Parking is awful. It's very hard to find parking. Do not park on 23rd street because it's a dead end block and cars make u turns in the middle of the block (they don't have the space to make a u turn in the middle of this narrow block that used to be a one way block before they put up the Amphitheater and turned 23rd street into a 2 way street) and often damage other cars and take off leaving the scene of the crime leaving you with the damage and the bill. And do not park in any of the parking lots on 23rd street - none of them are legal and none of them are insured. Either try to find free parking on Surf ave, Mermaid or Neptune Ave after 20th street or any side block thereof or park in the Cyclones parking lot on 17th street or further down at the Aquarium for a fee are some suggestions for parking. Dear TRIP ADVISOR: This is not advertisement to park anyway in particular, just a notification to make people aware of their parking options.

12. The box office has no phone ??? dah !!! Do not buy tickets from them. They are rude, ill mannered, numb, dumb and useless (my opinion) and you have no way to contact them once you leave there if anything goes wrong with your tickets, or you want to complain about them. Do not support this type of behavior.

13. They don’t accept prepaid visas, even major prepaid american express cards that are accepted all over the world. But will take other peoples regular bank credit cards. There are no signs posted to such. In my opinion, it’s discrimination. Someone should look into if it’s even legal or not. Someone should start a class action lawsuit against this company for many reasons. If you support this venue it’s like voting for someone who violates human rights in my opinion.

14. The people at the box office including the manager there Nicole Garcia, are rude, ill mannered and not there to help you buy tickets that you want, but there just to sell you tickets. Do not buy any tickets from this box office. Go onlne and use any other ticket seller but live nation is my advice.

HE'S ENTITLED TO HIS OPINION, ALTHOUGH I STRONGLY SUSPECT HE'S AN EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY TO DEFENT THEM SO PASSIONATELY.

MY ANSWER BELOW IS IN CAPS not in any way to express anger, but TO OFFSET MY COMMENTS FROM HIS AND IT’S BASED ON HIS LAST COMMENT THAT HE IS TRYING TO NULLIFY MY COMMENTS with his rebuttal. 1. Yes totally legal and no your "Constitutional" rights aren't even close to being violated by this PRIVATE company. They are not keeping you from leaving, you are free to leave at any time, they have a right though to keep you from re-entering the concert. This is standard at many venues across the country. WHAT ELSE ARE YOU GOING TO SAY, YOU WORK FOR THEM. BUT WE WILL SEE WHAT LEGAL SAYS ABOUT THIS. AND LISTEN PEOPLE READING THIS, EVEN IF ON THE SMALL CHANCE THAT THIS EMPLOYEE IS RIGHT, THINK ABOUT WHAT A BUNCH OF LOWLIFES THEY ARE TO FORCE PEOPLE TO STAY INSIDE A VENUE THAT IS QUITE OFTEN FILLED WITH POT OR OTHER SMOKING PEOPLE, OVERCROWDED, AND VERY HOT BY THE WAY, WHEN IT’S HOT OUTSIDE BECAUSE THERE IS NO (ZERO) AIRCONDITION IN THIS PLACE, AND NOT LET THEM GO OUTSIDE FOR A BIT OF FRESH AIR.

OR WHAT I\F THEY HAVE ASTHMA? WHAT IS THEY NEED MEDICINE? WHAT IF THEY NEED FRESH AIR? WHAT IF THEY WANT TO GO TO THE CORNER GROCERY STORE AND GET SOMETHING TO EAT THAT THEY CAN AFFORD. THIS IS A DIRECT ATTEMPT FROM LIVE NATION TO CONTROL PEOPLE AND MAKE THEM SPEND MONEY INSIDE AT THEIR RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED 1 CONCESSION STAND IN THERE. WEATHER LEGAL OR NOT, IT IS JUST: NASTY, RUDE, ILL MANNERED, INCONSIDERATE AND GREEDY. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS TYPE OF OPPRESSIVE REGIME. PLEASE CONSIDER EITHER GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE TO SEE YOUR FAVORITE BANDS OR LISTEN OUTSIDE FOR FREE. AND I URGE ALL OF YOU TO SEND LETTERS TO FORD AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON. 2. Sounds like you need to take that up with your City. POSSIBLY, BUT IT’S HARD TO GET THE CITY TO DO ANYTING.

THEY ARE A BIT ANEMIC. TRY FILLING A REPORT WITH 311 ONLINE FOR ANYTHING AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. 3 & 4. So if you don't see a Seating Chart and don't want to pay the online fees..why buy the tickets? If you don't want to pay the service fee..why buy the tickets. MOST OF US BUY TICKETS WHEN WE SEE A BAND WE LIKE. WE DON’T WANT TO PAY A SERVICE CHARGE TO A BOX OFFICE. IT’S A ROYAL RIPOFF. 2ND AND 3RD PARTY SELLERS ONLINE LIKE TICKETMASTER ARE ENTITLED TO A SERVICE CHARGE TO FACILITATE PEOPLE’S TICKET PURCHASE AND SAVE THEM THE TIME OF GOING TO THE BOX OFFICE. 5. People are standing at a Concert...Stop the Presses..Oh the humannity. NOT ONLY STANDING BUT STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU PRVENETING YOUR VIEW OF THE CONCERT. THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT WROTE THIS COMMENT ON VARIOUS CONSUMER REVIEW SITES ABOUT THIS PLACE TOO. IT’S NOT ACCEPTABLE.

WHAT ARE PAYING FOR EXPENSIVE SEATS FOR IF MANY CAN’T SEE ANYTHING. IT’S JUST NOT AN ETHCIAL WAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS. WHAT THEY ARE BASICALLY SAYING IS: WE HAVE YOUR MONEY. WE MADE OUR MONEY. WE DON’T REALLY CARE ABOUT ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO TELL US KNOW. DON’T BOTHER US. 6. Wait a minute in item 1 you were upset you couldn't leave to get some fresh air..now there is a rain storm? IT WAS STATED THAT YOU WOULD NOT GET WET IF THERE IS A RAINSTORM DURING A CONCERT. I SIMPLY TOLD THE PEOPLE HERE THAT THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE BECAUSE THE AMPHITHEATER IS BASICALLY AN OUTDOOR VENUE. IT IS NOT COMPLETELY SEALED AND ON THE BOARDWALK SIDE, IT IS WIDE OPEN. RAIN COMING IN THERE CAN EASILY HAPPEN WITH A GOOD WIND. AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE PURCHASED TICKETS IN ANY OF THE 102 SECTIONS WHICH ARE CLOSEST TO THE BOARDWALK ANY PEOPLE READING THIS CAN OPEN THIS IMAGE OF THE PLACE AND SEE THAT .

YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG ABOUT THIS AND I AM COMPLETELY RIGHT ABOUT THIS. PEOPLE SEE THIS IMAGE OF THE PLACE AND YOU DECIDE. https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/7438903/from-vacant-restaurant-to-60-million-venue-first-look-inside-coney-islands 8. Again, apparently you haven't been to a concert in at least 10 years. APPARENTLY YOU'VE NEVER BEEN TO THE CONEY ISLAND AMPHITHEATER, RIGHT? This is standard I am actually surprised you didn't complain about being sent through Metal Detectors or being checked with a wand. SEARCH AND CHECKED THAT IS SAID IMPLY ALL OF THAT SIR. IT IS LEGALLY QUESTIONABLE IF THEY CAN FORCE YOU TO DO THIS IN ORDER TO ADMIT YOU UNLESS IT’S A FEDERAL BUILDING OR SCHOOL OR AIRPORT. AND IT’S NOT JUST GOING THROUGH A METAL DETECTOR, THEY OPEN AND CHECK EVERYTHING IN YOUR BAGS, THEY PHYSICALLY CHECK YOUR POCKETS AND SOME OF THE WOMAN DO NOT LIKE BEING TOUCHED LIKE THAT.

AND WHEN THEY COMPLAIN TO MANAGMENT, NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT. 9. Nice tip, don't see how that is a RipOff though. If you don't want to see the concert seems like a perfect solution. YES, IT’S A PERFECT SOLUTION JUST TO WATCH IT FROM OUTSIDE AND NOT SUPPORT THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS. THEY KNEW THAT WHEN THEY PUT THIS AMPHITHEATER UP, THEY WERE PUTTING IT A BLOCK AWAY FROM 2 NURSING HOMES, ½ BLOCK AWAY FROM RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS AND A BLOCK AWAY FROM A SENIOR DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT GIVING A CARE ABOUT HOW THAT WOULD AFFECT ANYONE ELSE. ALL THEY CARED ABOUT IS THE MONEY. CHANNEL 12 NEWS CAME DOWN AND RAN A STORY ON THIS WHILE THIS IDEA WAS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. 10. So the moral of the story...Buy a Ford. WELL NOT THE WHOLE MORAL OF IT, BUT A PART OF IT. "FORD AMPHITHEATER.” GET IT! IT’S A GREAT WAY TO CHEAPLY ADVERTISE FORD.

AND THEY DO HAVE A FORD EDGE ON DISPLAY MOST OF THE TIME SO PEOPLE CAN SEE IT AS THEY ENTER. BUT I DOUBT THAT PEOPLE ARE GOING TO FALL FOR THESE MARKETING AND SALES GIMMICKS. FORD IS UNDER A LOT TROUBLE THESE DAYS INCLUDING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR INSTALLING A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION IN THE 2013-2018 FORD FIESTAS AND FORD FUSION CARS. AND ALLEGEDLY KNOWINGLY KEEPING THAT INFORMATION FROM THE PUBLIC. AND ALLEGEDLY NEVER RECALLING THESE CARS OR REDESIGNING THEM WITH A WORKABLE TRANSMISSION: AND NOW FORD HAS ACCEPTED RESPONSIBILITY AFTER ALL THE PERSONAL LAWSUITS, DROP IN SALES AND POOR REPORTS ABOUT THIS CAR IN THE CONSUMER REPORTS ANNUAL AUTO APRIL 2018 AUTO ISSUE. AND THEY AHVE AGREED TO SETTLE WITH EVERYONE REGARDING THIS MATTER: SEE THIS REFERENCE FOR FURTHER INFO PEOPLE:

http://www.fordtransmissionsettlement.com. 11. I thought New York had one of the worlds best Public Transportation Systems. Why do you even need to park? WELL THAT IS REALLY GOOD QUESTION AND I AGREE WITH YOU. YOU WOULD PERSONALLY HAVE TO STAND OUTSIDE ON SURF AVE OR THE BOARDWALK, AND ASK THE MANY THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS THAT DRIVE INTO THIS PLACE WHY? AND WHEN YOU DO, LET US ALL KNOW THE ANSWER PLEASE. 12. Oh and you are probably the most pleasent person in the world. NOT THE MOST PLEASANT, BUT HIGHLY CRITICAL OF WRONG DOERS. 13. Hello..can we say FRAUD. PrePaid Debit cards are very common in fraudlent schemes. Of course it is discimination..against people who can't or won't get a REAL bank account. Sadly you won't find many agencies coming to your rescue. YOU CAN POSE THAT STATEMENT AND QUESTION TO AMERICAN EXPRESS. I DON’T THINK YOU’LL WIN THAT ARGUMENT WITH THEM. THEY WILL ALSO EXPLAIN TO YOU THE MANY OTHER BENEFITS OF USING THESE CARDS THAT YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF SINCE YOU DON’T USE THEM.

14. Really they won't allow you to get the tickets you WANT? Based on the previous 13 issues why would you WANT any tickets? By the way I WANT 20 tickets to Hamilton, Orchestra Center for $5 each...do you think I have any chance with a different seller who is more about the customer? THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD PRICE. THERE ARE 2ND PARTY SELLERS LIKE TICKETMASTER THAT DOES VENUES LIKE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN AND YOU GET BETTER SERVICE FROM THEM, BUT USUALLY NOT BETTER PRICES. THEN THERE ARE THIRD PARTY SELLERS THAT SELL CONCERT TICKETS LIKE CHEAPTICKETS.COM AND 3 OR 4 OTHERS (GOOGLE IT) AND YOU OFTEN ALWAYS GET TICKETS CHEAPER THAN AT THE BOX OFFICE IF YOU COMPARE. HOWEVER, WITH THIS $5.00 ON YOU GOT. I DOUBT ANYONE WOULD BEAT THAT ONE. GOOD JOB ON FINDING LESS EXPENSIVE TICKETS. I AGREE. WHY PAY MORE TO THE VENUE, THEY ARE ALREADY RICH AND YOU DON’T NEED TO SUPPORT THEM ANY FURTHER

I read through your entire novel and I think this all of this fluff comes down to this statement you made in Item 7.

Please do not support this venue until they make changes and start caring about the community and people that attend.

The chances that you at any time actually attended a concert at this venue and perhaps any venue in your entire life is about zero based on your "complaints".  It is more likely you are one of the NIMBY people who are upset about this.  By the way before you even say it, no I am not now or have I ever been affiliated with this venue or any ticket agency.    Oh and I am not even with a couple thousand miles of New York.

But let me help you out on a couple of your complaints..

1. Yes totally legal and no your "Constitutional" rights aren't even close to being violated by this PRIVATE company.   They are not keeping you from leaving, you are free to leave at any time, they have a right though to keep you from re-entering the concert. 10. So the moral of the story...Buy a Ford
