CONSECO FINANCE rip-off Rancho Cucamonga California
I bought my mobile home in 2001. Had an excellent co-signer, to help me to get in, with the hopes of lower interest. they charged me 17.5 % interest. promised i could refinance following year. I had experienced financial difficulty the following april, and was told I could do an extension to get caught up. this worked for a small while, and when i was ready for the refinance, would not do this because of the extension. i signed paperwork for the extension only to not receive a copy of this.
They also said the coach was too old, 1972 so would not be able to refinance at all. I took in a boarder for a few months to help with expenses only to have this person do $600.00 damage on bathroom and bedroom. I did the repairs, and had to file bankruptcy on other matters, and became behind again with conseco.
The phone calls were impossible after this. They called at work and home. I have put the mobile up for sale in Dec. with the hopes of selling this and now it is slow. They now said I will be required to early pay penalty, another snafu. the prepayment penalty is more than I paid for the home.
I am still in my home and hoping I will be at least able to sell to be able pay off the loan.
Now they are silent. Still waiting for letter confirming total payoff. They gave me nothing but trouble from the beginning of the loan.
