Two weeks ago I notified conseco in writing by fax (as they requested) to change the withdraw date of my house payment. I contacted the company 1 week later to confirm the arrangement. "Jose" was the rep I'd spoke with. He said the next payment to be taken out was 6-15. I said "I have a free month" and he said yes. I asked the question 3 more times in disbelief and he responded the same.

Sure enough the payment was taken out this month. I am now $912.86 overdrawn in my checking account. Beings how I am overdrawn I have no banking privileges until this matter is resolved. I can't cash any paychecks, I don't have access to my savings account and of course, can't write any checks. The worst part is that I am a single mother with two small children and am the only bread winner of the family. I have to resort to charging my credit card and borrowing money from friends and family to live on until this is resolved. It is a very scary situation.

The resolution is still pending. As I read all of the complaints I ask myself why am I so ignorant with my money? I'm sure conseco's employees sleep well at night knowing their families have went to bed with full tummies and a roof over their heads. We have to do something. How much more money are they going to take? We want our money back!!! But the more serious question is, if conseco files bankruptcy will we get any compensation? Please contact me!!!! I pray for all the headaches out there. God bless you all!
