Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
One year ago, when I was 18 years old, I kept getting phone calls from a number that I did not recognize. I did not answer because of this fact. When I did not answer they started to call every day, and 3 to 4 times a day. I finally got fed up and decided to answer the phone.

When I did, I was given a long spiel that in the end actually sounded good to me. Mind you, I was only 18 at this point, and not even a legal adult in the state of Nebraska. I was told that I would get 6-7 magazine subscriptions and a watch and an entrance into a drawing for money, and that for these services I would be paying $66.65. I thought that this was a one time charge and I ended up giving them my Visa Debit Card number. I never recieved the watch.

After a few months I noticed that a charge of 66.65 kept coming out of my bank account and put me into over draft every month. I eventually cancelled my debit card and called the company to cancel my account, and they told me that I still owed them $500 (approx) and that I could not cancel the account. I told them that I was mis-informed and that I did not have the money to pay them. I was very upset about it.

In the following months I recieved a call from them close to every day. I have been harrased. They tell me that I still owe them $400 and they leave rude messages on my voice me telling me that they need to talk to me or my "attorney" by the next day.

I am 19 years old and right now am getting no hours from my job due to hour cuts. I was taken advantage of when I was merely 18 years old, not even a legal adult. My grandmother tried to speak with them and they told her that she was wasting their time by calling there if she wasn't going to pay the "bill". I found this terribly un-professional and rude.

When I talked to them and tried to explain my financial situation to them they asked me, "Well, how are you even paying your bills?" So taken aback by this rude question I answered him, "My grandmother." Then he said, "Well, have her pay it."

I was so upset over this, as well as thoroughly convinced that it was scam that I got on the internet and searched for other complaints about this company. And this is what I found:

www.badbusinessbureau.com/Telemarketers/Consolidated-Media-S/consolidated-media-services-c-FMF83.htm

I was astonished to find several reports exactly like my own. I am not the only one to be duped by this company. Any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
