Consumer Telecom - Used false and misleading information to get me to agree to services Henderson Nevada
On 05/20/09 Consumer Telecom had a phone solicitor call me and use false and misleading information to get me to accept their services. The caller told me how they could save me $4.00 a month if I used their service.
The caller stated that as a Qwest customer I was paying $5.99 a month for a .15 cent a minute long distance plan. The caller also stated that Consumer Telecom was offering a $1.99 a month plan for a .10 cent a minute long distance plan, stating that with Consumer Telecom I could save $4.00 a month.
As soon as Consumer Telecom sent me the General Service Agreement for Residential Customers Info in the mail on 6/12/09 I noticed that all the information the caller gave me was false and incorrect.
At that piont on 6/12/09 I called the number listed in the Service Agreement and talked to a Danny Quagmire about the false and misleading information used by the caller. He informed me that all he could do was cancel the service, and that because the issue date was 5/20/09 and the cancel date was 6/12/09 that I would have to pay for 2 months of service.
I never agreed to the Service Agreement that was sent in the mail. I only agreed to a $1.99 ten cent a minute plan. The agreement sent in the mail was different than the offered service.
The service was NEVER used and not provided as offered. This company should investigated and put out of business. They use shady and possibly illegal business tactics to sell their services; if they even really provide any service. According to the people I talked to at Qwest they dont provide any service they just bill for services provided by Qwest.
