I bought extended car insurance with continental warranty in 2006 from a card sent in the mail, I paid my down payment and got my contract in mail.This transaction went smooth, but with some of the other people getting ripped off. I'm holding my breath because I have not used them for a claim yet. But recently I called continental warranty about extended insurance for my husband's suv,and talked to a sale person there and gave a down payment with a check via phone, they said I had 30 days to cancel.I was contacted by another company for extended warranty's and was offered a lot better deal,I took it. then I called continental warranty back to cancel and they said they would debit my money back to my account. Now both of these transactions took place back to back in one day. well I kept looking for my account for the credit and never got it. I tried to call them for a few days and would get a busy signal every time I called and when I called again and it said that this number is no longer in use. I found out by another Co. they told me that continental was claiming bankrupt. I called Mepco and that was a nightmare that I don't even want to talk about. they wasn't any help at all and I called them back and this girl named leslie told me to send them a fax of my bank statement and a short note of what happened. I faxed it to them, and called them back and they told me that there was no Leslie that worked for them and it was a false fax number. I"m purely depressed MB
