Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I placed an order for 12 lighting retro-kits and 10 75w transformers. They cashed my check in the amount of $772.83 on March 5th, 2007. I've attempted to contact them on several occasions, only to be vebally abused by their employees. I was accused of trying to run a scam on them. When I attempted to contact George Kalta I was told he was to busy to talk to me.

(He must have been dealing with his my other disatisfied customers). I have sent letters to what I thought was their main office. No one has made an effort to respond to me. Mr. Kalta and his cohorts in crime are Vanessa (Phone) Juan (So called Supervisor)Don (So called Manager) & Laura (Accounting. These are some of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. When they are finished verbally abusing you they simply slam the phone down in your ear. They haven't the slightest concept of what customer service is all about. (Or perhaps it because they do their jobs so poorly they have a barrage of upset customers canstantly calling them, that they've simply just gone on the defensive). What ever the reason it makes them a company to avoid at all costs.

Please, Please Beware.

Chris, I agree! I too will spread the word. I spent twenty two years with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts,as their Director of Engineering and many of those years were spent in Southern California (Orange County). I have several contacts in the construction and electrical contracting fields through out SoCa and the country, (New York, Connecticut, Kentucky, Florida, Texas) This guy doesn't know who he's dealing with. All I tried to do was give this guy some business and this is the thanks I get. CCL drew first blood.

After reading your last post, I suddenly realized that I certainly CAN spread the word about this dumba$$'s total lack of customer service. In fact, the more he writes, the more he proves what a lousy, arrogant businessman he is! I deal with developers & their subs on almost a daily basis. I will IMMEDIATELY spread the word to avoid this company at all costs! Complaining? No. Doing these guys a favor by steering them away from a company with poor customer service? YES!!! Oh & by the way, Mr. Valencia: You must not have a very good relationship with your business banker (& I can certainly see why!) if you cannot find out this simple information. (What do you do, just call the 800# & talk to whoever answers? Of course THEY won't be helpful!) When a company says they need to wait for the check to clear, I've got news: no one THESE DAYS thinks ANYONE means "when we get the next bank statement in the mail"! That's absurd! Any reasonably savvy business person knows how to accomplish things like this. But I digress...at any rate, I'll start spreading the word due to this guy's crappy attitude & poor customer service. With fewer customers he'll surely have time to watch football & do all of that manly stuff! (You know what's REALLY manly? Bending over backwards for your customer so they'll come back & spend more money!)

His original post was on 4/16; he signed for the package on 4/18. He didn't lie at all - he hadn't received his package when he posted! I reiterate, this company provided extremely poor customer service by waiting sooooo long to ship when the check obviously cleared weeks earlier. It sounds to me like they DID wait until they received their bank statement in the mail (how moronic can you be!) instead of proactively just calling the bank to check on it. That's what any normally intelligent business person would do!

Bob, Bottom line is YOUR LOSING CUSTOMERS. Your refusal to except the fact your companies lack of customer service skills is having an adverse effect on your business, only goes to prove "The fish stinks from the head". You preach about "What makes this country great" One of the things that made great companies was "The Customers always right" Instead of tring to statisfy your customers you chose to blame and verbally abuse them. It's your loss, I can purchase my supplies from a number of companies, unfortunately for you, your company won't be one I'll ever use again. Keep on doing what you're doing and you'll soon learn, be it the hard way but you're learn. Keep running your business in to the ground. And in the end you won't have any customers to blame. The more rebuttals you post the more you show your true colors. So please continue.

Again how were we to know the check cleared on the 5th

Again how were we to know the check cleared on the 5th as Dale alleges when the bank would NOT verify this. And again everyone is forgetting and just wants to blame the "business' that we do notify in writing on our site that this will happen when mailing in a personal check. I think its time people stopped complaining on the web and started taking responsibility for their actions. The problem with our great country right now is we all want to go cry a river and blame others when we make a mistake. What makes us a great country is our pride and passion for honesty and integrity. With the internet anyone can soil a company or a person when THEY make a mistake and there is no entity in place to mediate or verify the validity of the complaint. Had there been such an entity they would have verified how many banks no longer give out information and that we do in fact warn of the personal check issue in writing on our web site and that Dale ignored this was not our fault. Dale needs to just admit he ignored warning on the personal check and stop blaming us, otherwise his order would have went out sooner. STOP blaming us Dale. If Dale wants to change the new banking procedures than he should lobby the banks and not us. We did our job and the day we could verify the check cleared we shipped the order. As for the gentleman from santa monica who thinks 6 weeks is a long time..whats your problem? How is 6 weeks long after we explained we had to wait to confirm the check cleared since the bank would not cooperate and again the client is the one that ignored this warning posted and still sent the personal check. Had you read the first rebuttal and were able to comprehend it you would not have replied like you did. And by the way our turn around time is less that 2 weeks and average ship time has been 3 days. Now go and try to get another lighting company to say that. Lastly and I repeat its time men starting acting like men and stoped complaining on the web. Where are the days when a true man watched sports, took care of his family, took responsibility for his actions and believed in God. Politically correct, not us as its time to stop all that and let the truth out Lets stop looking for babysitters and crying like babies when we make mistakes or cant comprehend things. Anyone that replies to this with a I don't agree I am a baby and want to complain can also send me their address and I will mail them a pacifier. On the other hand anyone that agrees with me should have the courage to reply as such. God Bless America! CCL Inc

After reading the "Rebuttal" from the employees of CCL. Let's review the facts: 1. "Order Shipped last week after check cleared" Fact- The check cleared on 3/5/2007. Order shipped on 4/12/07. 2. "Order received and signed by Dale on 4/18/07" Fact- Yes, order was received on 4/18/07. Fact- Order was received incomplete. Three of the kits did not have the bi-pin terminals attached. (However, after what I've gone through with this company, I have chosen to deal with it in another manner). Fact- The order was not sign by me. 3. "Dale filed his false report with false employees names" Fact- The name George Kalta appears on the Better Business Bureau site. When I contacted CCL and asked to speak to this gentleman, Vanessa told me and I qoute "He's to busy to come to the phone" I which I responded with "then He'll be hearing from the Better Business Bureau" as she slammed the phone down once again in my ear. Fact-A few weeks earlier when I called to inquire about my order an employee who called himself Don picked up the phone while I was talking with another CCL employee and began yelling at me using profanities towards me and asked if I was from (Useing the F word) "Mayberry" and I was stupid if I thought he was going to ship $700.00 worth of materials before my check cleared. So if I have used "False Names" It's simply because these are names they have used. ( one can expect them not to use their real names after they've verbally abused their customers). Fact- After this conversation with "Don" I immediately contacted my accounting department to stop payment on this check, I learned they had cashed the check on 3/5/07 it was now 3/12/07. 4. "Mr. Kalta sold the company last year and is not involved in this matter. Further proving this persons lack of attention, honesty and integrity. There is a GOD Dale and he will judge you for your dishonesty. You Dale know what happened and you Dale will need to come clean in order to save your soul." Fact- All I can say is WOW! Is this guy for real? What does GOD have to do with your poor customer service? This only goes to prove these people at CCL have a few loose lug nuts. 5. "Business' and consumers beware of doing business with this place as it is obvious from our experience that they believe the world revolves around them and they can file false claims." "I wonder how many people are upset with the Sagamore Hotel" Fact- We at the Sagamore Hotel beleive the world DOES revolve around our customers. If a customer is not satisfied with our service our employees are empowered to make sure their stay is a memorable experience- at all costs. Which is probably why we are ranked the #3 hotel by the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Bureau and ranked #7 out of 193 hotels by Trip Advisor. Note: Trip Advisor is what OUR customers say about use. So if your ever in Miami Beach, feel free to stay with us. Perhaps you're learn what customer service is really all about. Good luck to you.

"The order shipped last week less than 6 weeks after we received his check!!" Woo-h*o! You're proud of that? That's an inordinately long time to wait for any order! You could easily have called your bank to determine when the check cleared. What did you do, wait for the next bank statement to come in the mail? Sounds like you were irritated that he sent the check in the first place, & even more irritated that he kept calling & wanting his order. So you were determined to prove that See, checks DO take a long time! Instead of giving some good customer service (by checking with your bank by phone every day or two), you took... as... long... as... you... possibly... could. And gave a bunch of attitude to boot! I would not be satisfied with that, either.

here is the tracking number proving we shipped the order 6 weeks after recieving the check

As you will see we did ship the order on 4-12-07, less than 6 weeks after recieving a check from Dale who is in Florida and we are on California. And as soon as the check cleared we ordered his transoformers and bagan assembling his trims. Once all was done we shipped the order on the 12th. Come on Dale did you really have to file such a claim with so many lies and exageration? God will judge you for your dishonesty. What comes around Dale goes around UPS tracking number 1Z1382XW0343160214 and was recived and signed for by Dale on: 4/18/2007 at 2:47 P.M. at: SAGAMORE HOTEL 1671 COLLINS AVE MIAMI BEACH, FL 33139 Dale filed his false report with false employee names ( as we have no George and no Don there and so obvilusly these people never spoke to him.) Business's and comsumers beware of doing business with this place and person as it is obvious from our experience that they believe the world revolved areound them and they can file false claims. I wonder how many people are upset at the sagamore hotel??

Not true order was shipped last week AFTER the check cleared

#12UPDATE Employee

Its very simple. Our policy is credit card or money order so we can ship out orders with 2 to 10 days. We advise all that if they send a personal check it may take 4 to 6 weeks for it to clear (especially out of state checks). As we know banks no longer co operate like they did years ago by providing information on wheter a check has cleared or not. In fact some banks will not even confirm if the account is opened. This person decided to ignore this policy of ours ( which is in writing on our site) and send in a check. Within days he would call and harrass us to send his order before the check would clear. Either he was hoping we would send the material before the check clears so he can either put a stop payment or the check may just bounce. Or he just tought the world revolved around him and we would just send $700.00 worth of material without the check clearing. We did nothing wrong. Once the check cleared we shipped his order. The order shipped last week less than 6 weeks after we received his check!! I hope rip-off report makes him admit to recieving his order and admitting to his lies of not recieveing his order. We can provide copies of the check , when we received it and the tracking number and his signature of receiving the order to prove our case. Lastly Mr. Kalta sold the company last year and is not involved in this matter., Further proving this person lack of attention, honeesty and integrity. There is a GOD Dale and you he will judge you for your dishonesty. You Dale know what happened and you Dale will need to come clean in order to save your soul. -Bob XXXXXX (lAST NAME REDACTED) CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.
