Convergent Outsourcing / Direct Energy Convergent sends collection attempt for non existent Direct Energy Renton Washington

Convergent Outsourcing sends a collection notice for a non existent account with Direct Energy. They had my first and last name and last 4 digits of my SSN, but when pressed, they could not provide my date of birth, middle name or initial, or any other information. The address of electric service was 9393 Tidwell Road in Houston. I have never lived anywhere near Texas They want to help me "resolve" this account by sending me an information pack to fill out providing them even more information. They couldn't handle this over the phone because they want to follow "the law." Being an attorney, I was surprised to hear that handling this by phone would be illegal. This is an illegal, or barely legal scam. Don't tell these people anything. Report them to the FBI or to your local authorities. These people are scumbags.
