My husband & I were contacted by Bill Kappes of Copeland Marketing on 7/15/06. He promised to sell our timeshare in Charleston, SC if we sent him $700. We were told that the $700 would be refunded when sold & they would get 10% of the sale.
He was very quick to email all of the paperwork to us & get our $700, but they never contacted us again to let us know anything. I called on numerous occasions & talked to Ryan Copeland who continued to tell me that there had been some interest, but 1 event or another was coming up & they hoped to have something more concrete after that.
On 5/30/07 I called once again & Ryan once again said that there had been interest in April & they had a summer tourism campaign coming up & he was expecting some hot deals.
In October, 2007, we started checking the Internet for info on Copeland & discovered that many others were having similar problems. We also found that the Florida attorney general had ordered that Copeland refund $ to a few people.
We want to know why they weren't made to refund everyone's money & what we can do to get our money back or join a class action law suit.
