In regards to the services mentioned by, Ms. Niza Rodriguez, I was there the day she brought the laptop into the shop.

She claimed it would not charge or that she would have to wiggle the cord around in the charge port for the laptop to turn on, on her own admission, a practice she had been doing for a number of days if not for a cpl of weeks, the battery did not work.

Upon further examination I discovered that the charge port itself was damaged and the internal pin was missing leaving two exposed wires. We told her that we could not plug the cord into the laptop due to the fact it could damage the motherboard with the wires exposed the way they were. We also were not able to turn the laptop on at the time of entry because the battery had no charge. Thus, we had no way to determine if it actually worked at that time.

Ms. Niza Rodriguez was told at that time a repair on the charge port could be attempted, the process would involve soldering a new charge port to the motherboard. She was also informed that there was no guarantee to the problem being corrected on the laptop due to the fact it was unknown at that time if damage had already occurred to the laptop from her attempts of putting the charge cord into the charge port with exposed wires.

She accepted the determination at that time and left her laptop with us to have the charge port repaired.

The replacement port had to be ordered and when it arrived our technician did the replacement repair. The laptop would not power up after the repair. The board was not receiving a charge when tested with an ohm meter. The damage had already been done by Ms. Niza Rodriguez's neglectful practice.

Ms. Rodriguez was notified when the attempted repair was done and of the said results. She was told at the time of notification there would be no charge for the work done. There were at least three hours of work involved in a repair that went nowhere, at no charge by our shop.

I was at the shop when Ms. Rodriguez came to pick up the laptop. She was a very demanding person with many accusations. I did remind her that when she first brought it, that it would not turn on and we could not plug it in due to the damaged port, so we never saw it working as she claimed. I also reminded her that she was informed there would be no guarantee due to the fact of how she had been using it prior to the attempted repair.

Ms. Rodriguez chose to recognize only her own reasoning.

Ms. Rodriguez came into our shop a second time after retrieving her laptop, the length of time between is not clear in my memory, maybe about a week or two. She brought with her a teenage girl and a man, she entered the shop with a very aggressive demeanor demanding we replace or pay for her laptop. Again I reiterated that she was told there would be no guarantee especially with the aforementioned circumstances of the damage and her use, by her own admission, and her agreement to that had been to leave her laptop with us anyway.

Ms. Niza Rodriguez was never charged for parts or labor in any way concerning the matter above.
