I spent $1200 for a transmission rebuild and the ripoff owner Carl Ashton refuses to fix the leak. They said someone had put silicoln in there to keep it from leaking. The transmission bolts on to the transfer case and that is where it is leakin. The jeep has 120,000 miles on it and I have all the maintenance records. The transmission has never leaked before or been worked on.

Now they claim it was the previous repair that is at fault (when there never was one) and refuse to fix the leak. The only recourse they gave me was to rebuild the transfer case for $650.

Carl since your sure where the leak is coming from why not put oil dye in the trans and check it with infer red light? If no dye can be found with the light, THERE IS THE PROOF !!! and every one should be happy with that. THE TRANZMN

It is a genetal trait of General Motors Transfer cases to leak when high in miliage, seal dry out this vehicle is no different. As Documented in our repair files the vehicle came in and was inspected found very low oil in transfer case and the transmission full obviously the transmission is not the culprit the transfer case is.On top of that it was verified that it was the Case leaking not the Transmission. I am terribly sorry that you and the vehicle still had concerns but these are the undisputed facts and what was needed was done and if the transfer case seals are bad then they are bad.there was no way to tell if the transmission was leaking it would blow fluid back and disguise the T-Case leak. The seal in question is inside the transfer case and cannot be tampered with therefore it must be like all other rubber products dried out cracked and therefore failing. Therefore as stated it will be your responsibility to repair the transfer case and 650 was a pretty fair deal considering the labor to overhaul is 560.00 and retail for a GM Factory kit is 356.00 plus Special GM Transfer case fluid at 18.99 ea for two quarts. For a total of 953.58. So as the Facts on this have come to light you can see we have been unjustly ridiculed and have now rebuted the charges in this case.
