Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I really like being able to give my opinon, thanks.

I couldn't not believe what the hotel was like at covenant. They bought their own hotel so you could sleep in a fake hotel room that was so dirty. The room mate I had wore flip flops just to take a shower. Neither of us would walk on the carpet with our bare feet.

It had a smell like mildew, and the covers had stains all over them and so did the mattress. I had to have my wife bring me covers and sleeping bag just to lay on these beds.

I do believe that they try to be a christian company, but just like christians, they just try. Please if you have anything to say about that, go get your stones and be the first to throw them.

Now the trainning when I was on the road was horrible. The truck was ok, but I new something was wrong when the trainer wanted to pick me up from the side of the road because he said that the company will take his truck in the shop for six or seven days and leave him with out any mile or any lay over pay.

The trainer had nothing good to say about the company. Still till this day I can't figure out why he's there. He did let me do all the driving 15 to 18 hours at a time and he would never drive. Yes I know I'm in trainning but he was not giving me a chance to see how others drive. I ask the trainer to take me back to tennessee and let me out of the truck.

We got in utah and found 27 covenant trucks at one tuck stop and every one we talked to had been there for 1 to 4 days waiting on a load.

I found another company to work for and yes it's just a trucking company but it's not covenant and why in the world can't one company find a company thats got it all figure out like paying by qualcom instead of trip pak? Every company needs to find companies that have there stuff together and follow that pattern instead of trying something thats a failing procedure.

I myself just left Covenant as they also didn't pay me, charge you for alot ot things other companies don't charge you for, along with the fact that you DO honestly sit for days on end even being a team. It is a well known fact to NOT drive your truck into the terminal and most people won't do it if they can avoid it. Once inside that terminal it is true that you are there for days. It's bad enough starting out new with your truck already inside it-trying to get out! Their procedures for how they do things takes that long. As far as driving those 15 hours--it is illegal to drive over 11 hours eithor straight or broken up. The 11/14 hour log rule should have been explained to you. Your trainer was wrong on that part. But they don't care and are very disorganized, and have major lack of communication, along with being rude to most people. I wish you luck and hope you get the proper training where you do start fresh. Also please have someone teach you the proper way to log as they are teaching everyone to flag pretrips for 7 minutes and not bracketing it. You cannot lift that lid of the truck, check everything, plus do a REAL pretrip in 7 minutes. DOT will definitely jump on anyone that they see doing that in a log book. It's more important in the morning after you have slept somewheres to pretrip as your tandem & 5th wheel pins need to be checked if anyone pulled them, your glad hands, fluids, etc before you drive, and this definitely takes more than 7 minutes. I wish you well where you start over.
