I myself just left Covenant as they also didn't pay me, charge you for alot ot things other companies don't charge you for, along with the fact that you DO honestly sit for days on end even being a team. It is a well known fact to NOT drive your truck into the terminal and most people won't do it if they can avoid it. Once inside that terminal it is true that you are there for days. It's bad enough starting out new with your truck already inside it-trying to get out! Their procedures for how they do things takes that long. As far as driving those 15 hours--it is illegal to drive over 11 hours eithor straight or broken up. The 11/14 hour log rule should have been explained to you. Your trainer was wrong on that part. But they don't care and are very disorganized, and have major lack of communication, along with being rude to most people. I wish you luck and hope you get the proper training where you do start fresh. Also please have someone teach you the proper way to log as they are teaching everyone to flag pretrips for 7 minutes and not bracketing it. You cannot lift that lid of the truck, check everything, plus do a REAL pretrip in 7 minutes. DOT will definitely jump on anyone that they see doing that in a log book. It's more important in the morning after you have slept somewheres to pretrip as your tandem & 5th wheel pins need to be checked if anyone pulled them, your glad hands, fluids, etc before you drive, and this definitely takes more than 7 minutes. I wish you well where you start over.
