My name is Clay Goodman. I used Covert Buick GMC for maintenance on my vehicle and have had a horrible experience.

As a professional pilot I am aware of the kind of maintenance vehicles require. After my truck was involved in an accident(5-13-14), I had it towed Directly to Cover GMC and made a request to Tom Fritz(service manager) personally stating "please go through this entire truck, drivetrain, fluids and all, to ensure i will not break down and be left stranded on the side of the road” as he assured me they would. After leaving Covert my truck, what I assumed was a road worthy vehicle, I made it ~150 leak free miles before the front differential seized bringing me to a dangerously uncontrolled stop in the middle if a busy road. After having it towed to the closest dealer, I was told the "front differential was completely dry" and "looked to have been drained”. Of course bringing the truck in after a high speed impact, and since i request it to be completely gone through, I was assuming they would check something as important as differential fluids, there is no way they should have let me drive away with an empty differential. I’m truly lucky this happened at 35 mph rather than 80mph on the freeway. They claim I told them not to check the fluids, which is and outrageous lie, and make no sense as check the road worthiness was the entire reason I had the truck sent to them.

I'm just stating what "ken bachelor" auto service center told me when I had it towed there after the differential locked up. To clear up confusion, I had the truck towed to covert gmc to be completely inspected to a road worthy condition. Approximately $5000 damage prior to the differential locking up and now I have a $5000 more in damages.

As a pilot you should be well aware of how long a mechanical part would last without lubrication.

So you should know that there would be absolutly no way your front differential would last 150 miles with no fluid.  If you left the dealer with no fluids it would be doubtful you would have made it 15 miles let alone the 150 you are claiming.

The other thing is that you described the accident your truck was in as a "high speed impact" but the only thing you did was have it towed and them to check it over?  Out of curriosity just how much physical damage was done as it would seem that a high speed impact would cause significant damage making it undriveable.
