CreditLife/Variety Scammed of $208.95 plus charged $10.00 by my bank for bounced refund checks St. Petersburg//Largo Florida
Credit Life called and promoted a good sounding program. Stated no charge until 10 days after we receive promotional package. We called to cancel but they had already withdrawn funds from our account. They sent us one check which cleared. Several days later the other two checks arrived. We deposited them into our account.
The bank charged us $5.00 for each check and deducted the total of $208.95 from our acccount. Phone numbers we have for these two companies (CreditLife and Variety)report technical problems.
Then through the internet, we learned of the news report from Tampa, Fl. that authorities busted them.
Guess we'll never see our money.

Can I get my money back from my bank? The money was withdrawn by this scamming company, from my checking account on June 21. Their bogus 'refund checks' were deposited back into our account on July 30 (we didn't realize there were only 8 routing digits). The bank deducted the funds along with fees on Aug. 1. I would just to know if I'll ever see my money again. And since these people have been caught, are they facing prosecution? Thank you, Connie
