I purchased a 2001 Honda Odyssey from Charlotte Honda on April 19, 2005. The purchase agreement contained "Crescent Bank" as the financing company. No account numbers address, or contact numbers for Crescent Bank were listed on the contract.

We finally received a payment book on June 9, 2005, 51 days after the date of purchase. The address on the payment book was incorrect. There was no post mark on the payment book, so I have no idea how long it was bouncing around the mail. Our van was repossessed on June 11, 2005. We received a late notice (written on June 3, 2005) on June 11, 2005 after the van was repo'd. With the late notice was our welcome letter from Crescent Bank (written on May 2, 2005). The welcome letter, which contained all of the information we needed to make a payment, had been sitting on someone's desk at Crescent Bank for 31 days before they sent it. The envelope for these items was post marked on June 3, 2005. It was first class postage but took nine days to get to Florida from Louisiana due to an incorrect address.

I called Crescent Bank and spoke to our loan officer who claimed to have called me, two members of my family leaving messages, and even stated they had physically talked to my fiance. I called the two members of my family and they had never spoken to or received a message from anyone at Crescent Bank. I had never spoken to or received a voice mail either, nor had my fiance. After 8 to 10 calls and several Crescent Bank employees, I finally wound up talking to a Mr. Piazo. After faxing him the evidence I had of Crescent Bank's negligence, he told me I would have to pay the first payment and half of the repo fees. This did not include the storage fees from the lot where my van sat or the damage done to the van when they drug it 300 ft down our street and across our neighbor's curbing and yard on the front axle. I told him I would do it to get the van back and keep a repo off my credit record. My only stipulation was that they fax me a signed written letter stating my obligations and that I would get the van back after the obligations were met. He went into his good ole boy routine stating he does business on a handshake, his word was gold, and that I needed to trust him. Needless to say, I won't pay anything to Crescent Bank without a written agreement. Now, I have to deal with a repo on my credit record.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CRESCENT BANK AND TRUST. THEY ARE CON ARTISTS.
