Crescent Bank And Trust ripoff No apology, no taking off of intrest charges, just you owe us this, and you are going to pay. I'll see them in court! New Orleans Louisiana
I obtained a loan fom Crescent Bank and Trust in Feb of 1998. A few months later I gave them 7000.00 cash in an attempt to bring down my payments. After the calculations were done, not only did my payment go down but my maturity date was now Jan 2002, instead of Aug 2002.
In Feb of 2002 a "collections man" came to my door requesting a payment that was now late. I informed him of the maturity date of the loan, and even he said he didn't know why I was on his list. He stated he would look into it to find out why I was on it but cold not guarantee a "repo man" wouldn't attempt to come and get the car.
After weeks of gathering paperwork, cancelled checks etc, I was told that an error was made in the calculations after I had paid the 7000.00, and that I still owed money. No apology, no taking off of intrest charges, just you owe us this, and you are going to pay.
I requested a copy of the "revamped loan" agreement and was told, "we don't have one on file, we don't have to keep that or give you a copy, that's your responsibility to keep up with that not the bank's." I paid the loan up to the first maturity date of the original loan Aug 2002, but refuse to pay beyond that. I still have not received my title, and am now being sued by crescent bank for the remaining 800.00. I'll see them in court!
