In 2006 Crescent Bank financed my vehicle. In the last few months due to no work I fell behind on my payments. I spoke with the MOST rude individual I have ever come across in my life and her name is Desiree. I kept offering to pay $1000.00 every week to catch up on all my payments and it was refused. She kept telling me I had to pay $3000 that day or nothing. So I said NOTHING. Over the next few days I reiterated I would pay each week and was still refused. A couple weeks later I called them back and was given over to Alex, Desiree's manager, so I was told. He told me I could pay $1856.85, which is a total of 3 payments, and I was behind 4. He then proceeded to offer a deferral payment in the amount of $180.00 and I accepted. That day I paid the 1800 dollars to the penny and Desiree was faxing me a paper which had to be signed BEFORE they could debit my account for the deferral payment. A few days later I signed the paper and sent it back to her, then I called Desiree and made the payment of $180.00 by phone with my debit card. The following Monday I received a call from Desiree and she informed me THEY made a mistake and I was not allowed to make another deferral payment. I have in my possession the paper stating they were debiting my account for the $180 and it was a deferral payment and that money would NOT be applied to ANY future payments. Thats where my problem lies. They have now taken the $180 and applied it to my February payment and said they do NOT have to stand by what they said on the phone irregardless of what the paper CRESCENT BANK sent to me said. I was also told by the accounting department that NO REP is allowed to make that kind of deal. BUT it was ALEX the manager who offered this to me. I need help. They are calling me every day. My letter states with this deferral my loan has been pushed back to March of 2011. And now they are not standing behind their promise.

Who is this person that breezes through here and tries to justify Crescent's ill pratices and ghetto customer service reps? Please, you may think you sound whitty and have made crescent out to "not be the bad guy"....they are! Period. They're crooks. Plain and simple. Now see where your psuedo witticism takes you.

My Husband And I got a car through Crescent bank And Trust back in 2006. We had nothing But problems the whole time. The payment book we have said the last payment was due December 2009, but it said to call for Final payment. When we called them around the first week of December, they said that the final payment was not until Febuary. That they sent us a letter back in 2008, that stated "They Added payments" due to the hurrican they had there. We told them that we never got anything from them. And they said that since they didn't hear anything from us they thought we were ok with this. They said the Final payment would be $1300.00. And our normal payments were no where near that. We have since paid it off. But some where down the line, we over paid $4000.00 , according to our records. We will never use this Company again.

And now they are not standing behind their promise.

- THEIR Promise?  Just what type of loan agreement did you sign when you got the loan.  I would bet that it said you had to make your payment on-time and for the full amount due EACH and EVERY MONTH.  I doubt there was any clause in there that said "only when you can" or "only if you have a job".  So now tell me who is the one who is not standing behing their promise?

Oh and by the way you were behind 4 payments.  You were very lucky that they did not reposess the car.  Because most finance companies would have reposessed your car long before that.  Some will reposess your car for being as little as one payment late.
