Crescent Bank is the third bank to hold the loan on my car, the original being American Investment Bank (a whole OTHER story!). Anyway, I called to find out why the loan balance was so high, when I only had two payments left on a 60 month loan (Maturity date of October, 2005) They told me that I had extended the loan and the maturity date was now January 2006.

When I asked them to provide me the date that I extended my loan, the person that I spoke with said that he didn't have this information and I needed to contact a Customer Service Manager. Can I get a Manager on the phone? No. Then they said that there was a repo order and it "may be $75/it may be $400".

No one seems to know how much it is and if I don't pay it, they will come get my car! How can I pay it if they can't tell me how much I owe? Thankfully, I am a pack rat and have the original loan document and all of the cancelled checks backed up by account statements. Even when I said this to them, they still said that the loan matured four months after it really did mature. Who ever heard of a 64 month loan?

Please, please, please, be careful before signing your name to any loan involving this bank. Their record keeping is shoddy to say the least and they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

First of all You have no right to talk to people like that. If they have bad credit that is their problem and really not yours. As far as saying go some where else but you cant, this is exactly what people have been saying about your lovely customer service skills. I work in Customer Service myself and wouldn't talk to a dog the way you people talk to customers. Remember these deadbeats as you insinuated keep you employed. Without the deadbeats you would be out of a job. would you appreciate someone talking to you like that? I hardly think so. Its ok I'm sure your bank will be one of the next to go out of business and then when your on the unemployment line and cant pay your bills you will see what it feels like. What comes around goes around and you all deserve what you get for how you treat your customers. The president really needs to clean house and get workers that are more respectful and treat customers like they are human. Customer Service is about giving the best experience to a customer and you are representing the bank. Id say Crescent gets a F in Customer Service. And to everyone getting a car loan if they tell you its with Crescent don't do it. Put these employees out of their misery and out of their jobs. Hit them where it hurts the most the banks pocket and their pocket. We should all be so high and mighty.

I am having the same problem with this bank right now and they are very nasty and rude and don't want to hear what I have to say. And the comment from them here doesn't have anything to do with this report!!!!!! And we don't have to just deal with it. Go to the Better Business Bureau and file a report!!!!

I would like to first start out by saying that most of the complaints against Crescent Bank are ridculous. All of the consumers know that the reason they get financed with Crescent Bank, is because they are what you are called "high risk loans". Meaning the majority of the customers had bad credit and could not get financed elsewhere. So knowing that, they are a potential risk to the Bank. The bank figures, we will give them a try, but thats when things get complicated. Consumers sign the contract, but in reality, who reads the fine print??? All they figure is I got financed, let me get my keys and go. Well thats not how it works. The bank starts to call early on when the customers start to get past due, and nine times out of ten, the phone numbers are disconnected or you go to their house to try to find out when they payment is going to be made, and they no longer live there, or you may get a bunch of broken promises. So the bank has to put out money to find these customers, who feel like they can pay when they want, or they just lost their job and they need time. They get mad, and say Cresecent Bank is harrasing them, when they know when their car payments are due. Its always the excuse, I wasn't notified. The real answer to that is just like you know when your rent is due, its the same thing. Unfortunately thats not how it works. I wish these customers realize that Crescent Bank doesn't owe them anything, and furthermore if they were to sympathize with every last customer,Trust me they all have issues, they would not be in business. So, just like any other business, non-payment and being late has its consequences. If Crescent Bank is that bad, go get financed elsewhere.... You can't, so deal with it!!!

I am now having problems getting anyone to deal with me at Crescent Bank. They are now saying that I have accrued more than $400 in interest in one month, and they did not credit a payment to my loan, they are saying that I owe more than $1,000 than I actually owe. I have sent them a copy of my payemnt history with check numbers and dates, etc. and offered to obtain copies of the actual checks to send to them to show that in fact I am toward the end of my loan payments. They refuse. They know what I owe and there is no way that I can prove otherwise!!(I have gone ahead and requested the copies anyway). I asked them for my loan balance on the date that they obtained the loan, and from what they told me, the loan has long been paid off and they owe ME money! I am done and don't know what to do. I call them everyday and now, no one will talk to me. I am sooooo frustrated. Thanks for letting me vent.
