Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband and I didnt know what to expect our first time trying to buy a vehicle by ourselves but they really know how to play the mind games and get you in a bad deal which at the time we thought was a good deal. After being screwed by the car dealership....we would of never imagined things could get any worse.

Our vehicle payment is pretty high but at the time my husband had a great job and we could afford it. However, he got laid off and bills started stacking up. Crescent Bank & Trust would constantly call us or anybody in our family even when our payment was only 2 days late! When I tried to explain about my husbands job and how he got laid off they didnt want to listen. All they would say is, I need that payment now or I will take further action!

I remember when my husband was at work and I got his check through the mail well nobody would cash it for me because my husband wasn't there to sign the back and I wasnt on the account just yet but Crescent Bank & Trust would call over and over until I was in tears trying to explain to her that I couldnt cash it until the following day until he got home. She threatened me about coming to get the vehicle the next day and that I better figure something out because today would be the only day I would be able to send a payment. I was so scared about them coming to get the vehicle so I rode around place to place on Empty with my baby in the car with me trying to get someone to cash his check but like I told her to start with...nobody would.

I told her I wanted to speak to her manager like five times and she would ignore me. They have also called my family *references* and told them our personal business and when I did return their phonecall I never get through to them. We were always good at paying our bills on time but things happen sometimes and its hard to catch back up but I would think Crescent Bank would try to work with us because they could see we were trying.

Once, we were 10 days late on the payment and a few days before that I sent them a check through the mail for the whole payment well my hubby was gone to work in the truck and I get a knock at the door and its the repo guys...well I called the bank in shock and she said she couldnt take the payment even after I already sent it a few days ago. I was so upset with them because here they are wanting the truck after I already sent them a payment. I couldnt believe they were not going to accept my payment. She told me the only way she would accept it is if I go cancel my payment which charged me a lot and get a moneygram to be sent to them that day. I tried explaining to her that she should be recieving our payment in the mail any day now but ofcourse I had to do it her way.

Im just so tired of the way they talk to us and my family. We have been screwed so much with this truck that we are ready for them to just come and get it. I hate to have a repo on our credit and it scares me to death to think they might try and sue us...But even after my husband went back to work its just to hard to pay for that truck and with Crescent Bank the way they are with us I just dont want to have anything to do with them anymore. I dont understand how they can get away with the way they are with all of us. I mean we are the reason they have a job so I would atleast think they would show us some care in the world.

If they did indeed disclose information regarding your account and the status of it to anyone other than yourself, you may have recourse. You strongly need to contact an attorney to get details on what they are allowed to disclose and what they are not allowed to disclose to people on your references list. Do not let them get away with this unethical and unlawful practice.

You have to understand that this place deals with many many people every single day that dont WANT to pay what they owe. They've heard every single excuse in the book a million times. They get lied to more times than anyone would believe. This place IS working with you or they would have repossessed the vehicle the first time you were late. I know and understand as do others that poo-poo occurs.....things happen that you cant control. If this truck is such a burden, perhaps you need to sell it. You sound awfully young......and like you're in a little financial mess already. If you're not careful......its not going to get any better. Learn NOW how to live within your means...its a tough hard lesson....but one you wont regret.
