On Jan 1, 2015, I, Marcus traveled from Charlotte along with another hunter who was only 45 minutes from Polkton were greeted outside of a dark residence and taken to two different tree stands for what was supposed to be a Hog/Deer hunt and a regular Hog hunt. It was very cold that morning, and Phil was reeking of alcohol. He is one of the owners who stated that he has seen several 10 point bucks, and 6 point bucks running around the premises. Now to an unsuspecting customer, you would think that these guys have their own premises, but this is not so. They have a few acres that they lease from people who own land in the area, however, Phil told me that they had over 4,000 acres of hunting land. Huge Lie!!! My hunting stand was just feet from a major highway. While on the way to the hunting stands, Phil repeatedly pointed out areas that appeared to have had the dirt disturbed and he stated that hogs were just here. I think I saw one track, but I could not tell if it was one deer or hog track. I listened and watched as he pointed out different areas where he said the hogs are on the move. He would then say, let's hurry and get you in our best Tripod Stand! He assured me that his property had plenty of hogs and deer. He said I was allowed to shoot one hog and one deer at this time. He left me in the stand from about 6:45 am to 10:30 am. Within that time, I did not see any animals whatsover, I did see a few birds. He came to get me with another fellow scammer, who I believe was named Greg. They stated that they were waiting for my call to alert them that I had shot a Buck or a Boar! I told them that I had not seen or heard anything. So we go after the other hunter, Lester, who also stated that he did not see or hear anything as well. They saw feeder knocked over and they stated that the hogs were feeding so good, that they knocked over the feeder. That pointed out to all of the fresh tracks, but the tracks looked very old to me because ice was everywhere, and the ice was not disturbed. This is when my suspicion began to grow. As we walked back to the their truck that they used, they took the another trail where it looked like overturned dirt, and they assured us again that the hogs had been there this morning. Most outfitters have the lunch meal added in to the hunt, but these clowns took us to  gas station and told us they had great food. I had a biscuit, where these guys had chicken tenders. Mind you, they never offered to pay for our food. Great hospitality Phil and phonies!!! They offered shooting at the back of their house to make sure our guns were scoped in properly, then back off to the stands. They took us on another nature trail to the stands, and repeatedly pointed to other bait stands, where they said there was corn on the ground earlier, but none was there now. Question? How could they see corn on the ground in the dark? Yeah, right! So at this point, they said that the hogs were just here pointing to some tracks that looked old, but they assured that they were fresh. They said let's hurry up back to your stands. They said you boys will have hogs by this afternoon. Phil told me that I could harvest two hogs if I wanted plus a deer of any sex. He stated that there are plenty of animals on the property, but with the frost melted now, I saw no fresh tracks. We got back in the stands to hours and hours of waiting, but no sign of any animals. Mind you, I hear gun shots all around us from morning until afternoon. The duck hunters appeared to be having more hunts than we did. I even heard rabbit dogs in the distance and they came really close to where I was. I was hoping they might scare something my way, but it was the same old boring silence with an occassional chirping of the birds. I have never in my life been anywhere and not seen anything outside of a few birds. They might have a few hogs in this neighborhood as evidence to a neighbor we met at the gas station where we had lunch at who stated that a hog was in his yard last night because of the mud left on his drive way. Folks, the bottom line is this, this outfitter was talking about leasing more land, but if you even look on the website, they have outdated pictures from 2012. Where are the recent updated time stamped pictures? Hhmmm? No animals perhaps? Did you hunt the animals out of the property? I don't know, but you did not provide your customer with a hunt and an opportunity to at least take a shot at a fawn or even a piglet let along Buck or Boar! The scammers came to retrieve me from my stand at about a litte after 6pm. They said that they were up the road just waiting on me to take a shot. I told them that I did not see one animal of any kind, not even a squirrel. They then told me that they were shocked that I didn't shoot an animal. It was a long ride back to Charlotte. When I got home, I completed my satifaction with the hunt with the sad face and I wrote that there were no bucks or hogs. Phil responded by saying they were sorry that I did not see anything, but that is why it is called a hunt and not a kill. He then texted me a non time or dated picture and said that he went to the stand I was at shot a 300 lb. boar just a few minutes ago. LOL, Phil, you can have that lie along with your scam, but you have just been put on blast!!! Folks, don't waste your time with these fakers!!! Check the review from these scumbags, they have had disappointed hunters since 2010. I just wished I had did my homework, before I booked this hunt as I was overly eager to shoot my brand new Bushmaster that I received for Christmas. What a big lesson learned. Always do a review before you book a hunt. Unfortunately, I will never do another pad hunt again. I will hunt my own property where I always at least see animals, even if they may not be big enough to shoot at. Phil, what a low down, low life you are to be taking advantage of unsuspecting hunters. Yes, it was my first hog hunt and my first and last experience at a hunting lodge! Thanks for the patriotism you bums!!!

im reading this report, on an outfitter whom my family and i have hunted with on many occassions. this guy Marcus is talking about 1 outfitter while he was hunting at another outfitter. this leads me to believe that if Marcus is unable to remember where and who he as been hunting with. then maybe Marcus is  not sure if he saw a squirrel a hog a goat or a cow.  these posts are permanent and this guy is just trashing 2 outfitters in the same county while only hunting 1. your crediablity is in question here. fyi  ITS FAIR CHASE HUNTING!!!  these hogs are not petting zoo releasees . These hogs can smell a rat from 2 miles away  PUN intended. the first mistake you made is to expect to dispatch an animal. you should expect they will elude you. and your hunting prowess will edge the odds in your favor. Sounds to me like you were looking for "A CANNED HUNT' of which neither of these outfitters are fenced or farmed animals. Texas ranches may be what your looking for. you can pick what ever animal you want out of a book before you hunt it.i looked hard and long to see if there was a clause that guaranted a kill,  but couldnt find that anywhere on the website.

i searched the other outfitters website and i couldnt find where they said the lunch or food was included. i dont see where the outfitter is responsible to feed or is obligated to feed you for having a bad hunt! what you paid for was transportation to and from a stand and to go on private land whether leased or owned and have a  chance to see if your skilled enough as a hunter to bring down a quarry. but no one has a crystal ball to know where and when the hogs will run. no one sees animals every time. it doesnt fit into the laws of probability, unless you have a magic formula to always win! otherwise you hunt on game lands with all the other people who dont have money to pay without crying about it after they dont win!! The guaranteed hunts would cost you approx 2000.00 for  food, lodging, transportation, and of course YOUR TROPHY HOG  that came out of the pen 2 days before you and your death squad arrive!! leave these outfitters alone and save the money you cant afford to spend.had the cards been in your favor that day and the hogs crossed your path you would be posting how great these guys were. i have hunted 6 or 7 times  with both outfitters before i even saw or killed a hog!! Hunting  is also a test of wons determination if you dont succeed you try again you dont blame it on everything else. The outfitters arent god!!!! the animals belong to god!! God controls the animals, the tide, the moon, the weather, the wind!!! hello!! the outfitters just know where they  might be that day!! maybe god just didnt need your service that day as his land manager!
