I'm glad that you got the result you wanted. See? Cricket's not as bad as you thought. All you need to do is see what's available to you for options, then go from there to decide what to do. Hope you like staying with Cricket... PS - look for up and coming new features from Cricket like more roaming capabilities. If Cricket service is available in more than one city in your state, you might get the ability to roam in the other cities without an added extra feature fee...shhhh...don't tell anyone....

I am satisfied to report that Cricket issued me a refund; the process was supposed to take seven days to process, but it took less than two days to process and acquire a refund. I am happy that I received a better service from Cricket; I was dismayed before, now it's ok. I hope that I can continue business with Cricket Communications.

I can understand where you're coming from. I have seen where people's credit cards were charged twice by mistake. What baffles me is that the online payment was not authorized, but was still charged to your credit/debit card. Usually, that kind of transaction can be refunded if it was in error. Did the screen actually say that the credit/debit card declined, or did it just not give you an authorization number? If the latter happened, the charge can still be made to your credit card even if you didn't see anything. As for the representative not seeing it when they took a payment, that was because payments on the website usually take a few hours to show up as posting to the account it's being used on. If you pay on someone else's account, there can be different "rules" because you're authorizing payment on an account that doesn't have your name on it. To request a refund from someone else's account to your credit card might be seen as a type of fraud (I'm not saying that you were trying to make a fraudulent charge), which is why those rules exist. I've seen many cases where "friends" pay for another's bill, then claim "fraudulent credit card charge", especially if the "friends" become "ex-friends". One way I have seen this resolved is by requesting a payment refund, especially when there has been an overpayment/double charge. Usually any insufficient funds fees are credited back as well, but ONLY with a copy of the bank statement showing the fees faxed to the corporate office. But remember again that those rules may change once you pay for someone else's account. The options that they gave you are correct. I can see that what you want to happen is that: 1) the 2nd payment is refunded, and 2) any insufficient funds fees are refunded. Again, the rules change once you pay on someone else's account. You are able to get a refund of the 2nd charge, but not of the insufficient funds. So it's not that Cricket will not do anything, but that you have to choose what to accept that has been offered to you regarding the situation. You did have at least those two options you mentioned...
