Cricket Broadband and The entire Cricket COmmunications company is the biggest scam going and it amazes me the company being this bad actually thrives as a corporate entity.
I have had so many issues with my cellular service I stopped counting at 50. Now, the one and only thing I felt was very hard to screw up on their end, has done just that. They now, after a year of service that was nothing more nothing less than satisfactory, have decided to claim I have exceeded my 5gb a month allowance and are limiting my broadband to basically dialup speed. When I call, they continually offer me the $60 plan and say its not an upsell!!!wHAT THE F*** IS IT IF IT ISN'T AN UPSELL?
When I first signed up with cricket, there was basically no alternative in their price range and my funds were limited. As things are, my funds again have become less prohibitive so I am switching immediately. However, had they not pulled this complete scam of a move, they would have kept me as a customer for the long term. Someone like myself sems to be a good candidate to leave alone. I pay my bills on time, don't call every week to b***h or ask for a rate reduction or anything of that nature. In addition, the best part, is there are at least 2 companies other than cricket offering plans at the same rate or slightly higher and beings one of them is verizon based, I am sure customer service is far and above what cricket will ever be.
I can hope that cricket customers realize there are alternatives that are just as cheap as cricket yet don't have the awful service cricket has become known for. Please sue this company and I will sign right up as witness to their deceiving practices and false advertisements.

I have been a customer of Cricket for over a decade and have had zero problems. I will say I am not a gamer or cruise video's. If you want an "Old school" connection for basics and mobility they fit that gap flawlessly! My broadband had 2G & I rarely if ever went above 1G. If you are hoping to get Champagne on a Beer budget good luck.

Hey dude if you havnt noticed at $60 you can have any major carrier wireless and not have to deal with crickets lousy service... they are a serious joke trying to do nothing more than open as many stores as they can so they can dump the company and watch it fade away quickly due to lack of customer loyalty.
ANyone who knows better already stays away from this nightmare of a company obviously thats why they have to add things like the weak music service and such... don't see t-mobile with any such bull.... and for dsl I pay $50 and have 12mg speed blows away the weak connection that wireless junk has.

Cricket sets up shop in areas of San Antonio and Laredo where the expections are low. Cricket is looking for suckers with come ons on the front door like 'free text to Mexico' The suckers in the Cricket store don't realize that for a little bit more $ you can go to Verizon of Sprint and get basically the same prepaid phone service.

I am sorry to hear about your miscommunication that you are having. Let me explain a few things, First off, with Cricket broadband you are allowed a 5g download limit before you service will run at a lower speed, still DSL speed of 200-400kbps. That is DSL compared speed, it isn't dial up, far from it and this information is CLEARLY stated under the $40 broadband plan additional information. The "upsell" is a higher GB, for customers who download excessively and needs more so that the service WON"T run slower. Let me explain what an upsell is. Upsell meaning that we are offering you an additional service. new features ect, All Crickets Customer service was doing was offering you something that will ovisouly and clearly meet your needs. Secondly, compare us to a company that has NO CONTRACTS before you compare us to the HIGHEST RATE company in the WORLD! We only offer one start up rate plan for broadband and for customers LIKE you, who download more, may need something higher right, and if the speed that is lower won't benefit you, than we will offer you a higher broadband plan that meets YOUR specific needs, BAD Customer service huh, Sounds like they are trying to accomindate your needs.
