As stated previously, you needed to take your phone to a full service cricket store. The store you went to is unfortunately just an authorized dealer, meaning pretty much they can only sell phones. You stated that you would receive an error stating "ABC wireless pay per call service." To me that sounds like you were out of your local calling area and did not have your 'TRAVEL TIME' enabled or working properly. Also, you have not been double billed, also as the previous responder stated. I'm guessing since you are a new customer, you were on one of the new prepay plans? Did you actually contact cricket themselves to let them know to disconnect your account? Most people just dont pay their bills instead of actually properly disconnecting their account which leads to a whole different set of issues, such as larger bills then they thought, etc. Sure, Cricket might not provide the best service, but there are NO cell phones that can gaurantee service. Unfortunately though, it sounds as if your problem lyed with the cell phone manufacturer.

Unfortunately, there was nothing that Chit Chat Wireless could do for you. That's why they didn't do anything. All they can do is sell you a phone. You would have needed to go to the Full Service Cricket Store for help with your phone that wasn't working. Cricket's billing system automatically adds in the next month's service when the previous month isn't paid, which is why you received a "double bill". Unfortunately, I don't know if there's much that can be done now...you can try though...
