Cricket Wireless LEAP Wireless International Incorporated Took my $160 in one month's time and told me I had used up mins in plan, but couldn't show me!!! San Diego, California
After having Cricket Wireless pre-paid service for a while, my husband and I always complained about our minutes disappearing. I would call and complain, they would pacify me with a few free minutes and we would go on to the next month. We then decided to switch to their monthly plan where you could get unlimited talk, text and web for $35/mo.
However as soon as we switched my phone (the 2nd one) went completely dead out of nowhere, would not charge at all and I could not recover any numbers or use the phone. I then purchased a ZTE Muve Music phone from Walmart for $70. I called customer service to switch my number to that device, well, every rep that I spoke with (which none of them are in the US) all stated that there was an issue with switching the phone and to give it 24-48 hrs to activate!
This went on for 2 whole weeks before I snapped and went into a store. They were then able to switch my number and activate the phone after telling me that the customer service reps cannot do it at all and they did not understand why they didn't tell me that in the first place.
In between all of this I was credited $50 by customer service managers because of having to wait so long for my phone to activate. I had to add $55 to use phone and I had a $50 credit also, total $105 of usage on my phone with only 2 weeks left in my month by the time I could finally use it. Now, however, they were saying that we only had 1000 minutes for that $55 and then 5 cents per minute after that. Do you know that they took the entire $105 dollars off of my phone saying that I used over 2k minutes talking in two weeks?! So I called customer service AGAIN and they stated that they count incoming and outgoing calls for your minutes! That's insane. So I had to wait another 3 days to add $55 again for my plan.
I waited and added another $55, but this time I stated that I was NOT going to use phone to see if they were really calculating correctly. Within one weeks time they reported that I had used all of my 1000 minutes again! So far I have paid a total of $160 just to talk for a little over one month!! Then when I tried switching my number to a monthly plan that was not pay-go and just monthly period I was told that I would have to change my phone number!!
Why would I have to change my phone number when it is the SAME COMPANY?!!! They are horrible. There are no reps available in the US at all, they are all over seas, they don't have any way for you to check your account online if you have the pay-as-you-go service and so you just have to take their word for it. The icing on the cake is during those two weeks that I was constantly calling them they blocked mine and my husband's phone numbers from reaching customer service! We would get a message stating that no reps were available and telling us to go into a store! But when I had friends call they would reach someone!! I absolutely hate Cricket and am looking to switch companies, ASAP.
