So I go online on February 28th to pay my cricket bill which is due March 2nd. I make my FULL payment and get a confirmation number which I write down. That same day, I get an email from cricket saying that my payment was received and is being processed.
Today, March 3rd, my phone is turned off for not paying my bill. I CAN NOT reach a real person from my disconnected phone... but I do have the option to pay the bill I already paid. At 10am, I drive to a friends house and call cricket. They tell me that I have not paid my bill. I give them the confirmation number and read them the email they sent me. Robert tells me that he needs me to fax him the confirmation email. He also tells me he will turn my phone back on till the problem is resolved. He says it will take about 20 minutes. I then drive to my apartment office and fax the email to cricket.
Fast forward one hour. Still no phone service. I drive back to my friends house and call cricket again. This time I speak to Wang. She tells me that the problem was caused by an error in their system. She also tells me that she will get my phone back on. She tells me it will take 5 minutes and I should call back if it doesn't work. Guess what?? It didn't work. I call back and speak to Angel. She tells me that I need to re-send the fax because they "can't find it". I offer to forward the confirmation email THEIR COMPANY sent me, but she tells me that "that department only accepts faxes". I ask her when my phone will be back on and she says I have to send the fax first. I tell her that I want my phone on now. She gets a "manager" and he tells me that my phone will be on in an hour.
I re-send the fax and wait an hour. Still no service. It is now 5pm. I drive to my work and call cricket from there. First, I called my bank and discover that cricket has had my money since the 2nd. When the rep gets on the phone I am so mad I don't even hear his name. He tells me that they won't turn on my phone until they find the second fax(or the first for that matter). I told him that I had called my bank and I knew that cricket had my money yesterday. I told him that I wanted my phone on now and if he couldn't do it then to find someone who could. He got me yet another agent. When the last guy picked up the phone I told him I was done listening. I paid for a service. The money was taken from my account but my phone still doesn't work. He said he could do nothing. Then I told him that I was going to file reports with several agencies about this theft. He asked "What theft?" I told him that the way I look at it, since they have my money and I have no service, that is theft. He turned on my phone in less than 2 minutes... "Only until the problem is resolved".
This company is a joke. The BBB gives them an F. After this post I am going to contact a local news channel. They should not be able to get away with things like this. I plan on telling as many people about this as possible. DON'T USE CRICKET!! I would not wish this company on my worst enemy.
